Most latinos are brown. Those that come from Spain and are European are white.

Wooo. Now you're talking about skin tone. SO that means when we white folks go get a tan, then we are no longer white (since we've become Brown), so we're no longer Caucasians....

Root races are generally refered to using their skin color. There are other differences. The latinos we refer to mostly come from Mexico which are related to South American peoples, not Spanish, even though they use the language.
