True. Angkor Watt was part of the Khmer Empire and comparatively recent 12th century(?) as was Machu Pichu (Inca, abandoned in the 16th century due to Spanish conquests). Let's add the Minoan civilisation in Crete, Mycenean in Greece, Spartan, Athenian, Roman, Macedonian, Celtic, pre-Roman Germanic, Nordic cultures, British (pre-Saxon conquest), SAxon, etc.
If you wish to ask where are they now, the Incas are gone, but the Khmer survived in Kampuchea.
