"He's completely wrong. It doesn't matter if we become factionalized, hyphenated "Americans"."

I am not sure that you are be facitious or not.

So, jsut in case your are not, I think you need to re-read the following paragraph composed by Pat Buchanan.

This is the crux of the matter:

"Much of this mass immigration is illegal. Vast numbers are coming here only to work. They are not assimilating. They do not want to become Americans. They are concentrating in states bordering Mexico, which is their country and a nation with a historic grievance against us. They are holding on to their language and culture, creating a Hispanic nation within our nation."

If the immigrants are legal and wish to assimilate, I would suggest that most current citizens would have not problem with Mexican immigrants.

Have to love it when people trot out the "racist flag" then tag on the "anti-semetic flag" when they have no way of refuting the facts.

You're right, it's the invasion of illegal aliens that is resented. Most Mexican-Americans resent them too, because they're taking jobs away by working for peanuts.

And he goes on to mention Asians in the same breath when they aren't the illegals. Plus they're the better educated communities here. Shows how racist PAt is.

In addition, Pat could have included the fact that they contribute very little, if any, to the infrastructure of the country.
