Corrections Canada won't let guards at maximum-security prisons wear stab-proof vests because it sends a confrontational "signal" to prisonersAWWWWWW, how nice. 'Mustn't send signals to prisoners now, must we?

I doubt that the pencil pusher that decided on that has to mingle with the kind and gentle persons that are unfortunate enough to be incarcerated. After all they are victims of society. Sheesh!!!

"If you have that kind of presence symbolized by (a stab-proof vest), you're sending a signal to the prisoner that you consider him to be a dangerous person" Amazing. If a law-abiding Canadian citizen owns a gun, the leftists are all paranoid about that person -- merely owning a gun is a threat, etc. They will tell the guowner he is dangerous, antisocial, etc. However, let someone take a gun, commit murder, wind up in a maximun security prison, and the leftists are all eager to declare that the criminal is a fine fellow and everything must be done to make the criminal feel accepted and not judged, and that the criminal must be trusted more than the law-abiding citizen. Amazing.

Well, I think the Canadian Corrections Dept. should remove the bars on the prisons because these barriers are making the prisoners feel trapped. Furthermore, they should not allow the guards to carry any weapons lest the prisoners feel threatened. In fact, they shouldnt even be calling the convicted criminals prisoners because that implies they dont have the same rights as normal law-abiding citizens. Oh, they dont have the same rights, eh? My bad!

this is the same corrections agency that REFUSED to let their officers carry guns on OUTSIDE hospital and transportation runs. Corrections Canada is a complete joke.

An guard wishing to create his or her own stab proof vest should contact me free of charge and I will instruct them on how to construct a leather reinforced, chain mail vest that will stop anything shy of a sword / ax.
If metal detectors are a factor, I can also teach how to construct plastic lamealar armor or form fitting reinforced leather.
