You can get by with hotlinking most images.

There is one site that puts their own HUMONGOUS copyright/name info across the images. They sent Jim a nastygram about not using their images. (I'm blocking on the name of that site right now. Starts with a "C," I think.)

Most news item pictures -- like those that Kathy and Radix post -- are hotlinked.
