Democrats have hated America since the Vietman war. Nothing has changed. They always side with the enemy. I don't need any more evidence proving the obvious. They should all rot in He||.

Awful ... just awful. I get madder and madder. If I though I could make a difference by catching a flight to Baghdad with a rifle in my hand I'd go...

How long till the bombs drop? Get the Marines in there!

This is why they should die

How about making this be a memorial thread for the Fallujah Four?

I'll start:

Hub and I are keeping the families, friends, and loved ones of the Fallujah Four in our prayers for their inconsolable loss. May we never forget their sacrifice, their heroism, and their contribution. And may those who committed this offense burn in the fires of hell eternally.

This from of all places a Fark thread.

Fundamentalmentalbundle

I spent 8 years in the US Navy. I have a son in Iraq as we speak. I've never met anyone who joined the miliary to kill people. Mostly they just do their jobs. If they have to fight, it's to keep their own asses from getting blown away or to protect their buddies who are almost like family. I've never met one person who was opposed to the military who was really informed. They could only spout the mindless drivel they've heard from the propaganda machine in this country or from some asshat professor who thought he/she knew more than anyone else when he/she was only mindlessly spouting what he/she heard.

My son tells me about the villagers he's met near where he's stationed. They're good people who only want to be left alone, in peace, just like most of us. They live in mud huts with dirt floors. Their children had no school before the US and other UN forces came. Sadam had taxed them to death to build his war machine and his palaces.

The people who keep shooting rockets and small arms at my son and his friends are apparently religious fundamentalists. I'm a Christian, but not fundamentalist. I have learned that Fundamentalists of any religion are neither fun nor mentalists. That leaves only DUH (works better out loud).

I don't know what this war is really about. I suspect it's about more than we know. China was supplying arms to Iraq before and may yet be. I'd be willing to bet that the global strategic position is a lot more complicated than any of us know.

Turn off your damn televisions and radios, put down the newspapers. They're all either liberal or conservative propaganda tools. Pick up some history books, talk to some real people, always keeping an open but critical mind. And most of all, THINK.

And find a way to serve your country, if not in the military, then as a public servant. At least get your ass out and pick up some trash. If you don't serve, you're part of the problem instead of part of the solution.

Scott Helvenston, 38, was a former member of the US Navy SEALs who joined at the age of 17 and served until 1994.

He seems like a good kid. I know he’d been to El Salvador, and at some point had been involved in a parachuting accident that busted him up pretty badly.

It’s sort of anti-climactic to have been through some of the things he’d been through and had the accomplishments he did, only to get taken out by some nut(s) in Fallujah, IMO.

The Zovko photo is interesting (to me) because he’s a dead-ringer for someone I knew long ago. The person he looks *exactly* like worked for a security outfit called Combat (Combative?) Concepts or something similar. They trained SWAT/SERT teams at the time, and he was an ex-SEAL. But he’d be in his late 50’s/early 60’s now, and I’ve been rooked by coincidental look-alikes before… but it’s an eerie similarity nonetheless…

Here is part of the Best of the Web article on the daily Kos:

It's worth noting that the Daily Kos is popular among Democratic leaders. Zuniga is a principal in the Armstrong Zuniga political consulting firm, which touts the Daily Kos as "the most popular political weblog with over 3 million monthly visits." Friedman has a list of congressional candidates who advertise on the site, and in a February posting Zuniga reported that Terry McAuliffe, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, "asked if I would post" a "Message to Blog Community."

Scott Helvenston was from Jacksonville and had lived in my town (Gainesville) as a teenager. It's a pity Gainesville has such a left-wing, NYT paper, or there'd be more feeling about this here.

I haven't heard anything about the fourth contractor. Initial reports said one of the dead was a woman with blond hair; I suppose she may have been the fourth one. (However, it's quite possible that this was an error either in the reporting or the translation.)
