Costumed character at Disney World charged with fondling girl, mother.
Orange County Sheriff's Office investigators have arrested a Walt Disney World employee who worked as the character "Tigger" and charged him with molesting a 13-year-old girl and her mother while posing with them for pictures in February.

Victor Salva both wrote and directed Powder. Disney simply bankrolled the film.
Okay....and it was knowingly.
(If there is anyone in the film industry that knows if studios do criminal background checks on filmmakers, please let me know.)
However, when Nathan Winters came forward, they most certainly knew it then. And Francis Ford Coppola, the man who bankrolled Clownhouse (the film Salva was making with Winters while he was molesting this kid) and the two Jeepers Creepers films definitely knew what had happened and is willing to turn a blind eye. For Coppola, and MGM who distributed the latter, there is no excuse.
This is from the google article:
Disney spokesman John Dreyer told the Associated Press, "What's the point, other than you want to make headlines?"
But Dreyer confirmed that Disney's corporate office was not aware of Salva's criminal record.
The producer of "Powder" defended his embattled director.
"He paid for his crime, he paid his debt to society," said Roger Birnbaum, head of Caravan Pictures who also recently produced "Dead Presidents" and "The Big Green." "What happened eight years ago has nothing to do with this movie."
Looks like a false alarm folks. Someone else trying to lie their way to riches. The guy was on the local TV station this morning and he seemed genuinely concerned that the accused was being railroaded. From today's article in the Orlando Slantinel:
The girl's stepfather testified Tuesday that he saw no groping or fondling when his then-wife and stepdaughter posed for pictures with Tigger. He said he took one of the pictures used as evidence.
"We all walked out of there laughing and having a good time," said the man, who is not being named to protect the girl's identity.
On the way home, the man said his former wife mentioned something curious.
"She had made the comment: 'A picture is worth a thousand words,' " he said. "None of that actually clicked until three or four days later."
That's when the man said he learned that his stepdaughter had allegedly been groped, and that a lawsuit was being planned.
Assistant State Attorney William Jay questioned the man's motives, because he has since divorced the girl's mother. But the stepfather said the divorce was amicable.
Does this guy get a trial or not? I saw his lawyer on tv last night and the pictures which were taken during the supposed incident. I saw the outfit and "paws" he was wearing and I don't see how you could fondle anyone through those. The "girl" and her mother are out to make some money by suing Disney.
So all it takes to convict the guy is an accusation? What happened to a trial. The guy may be homely (boy howdy) but that doesn't mean he's guilty.
The woman remains divorced. Disney ain't payin', and pappa served as a DEFENSE WITNESS ~ said he didnt'see a thing, eh!
How sick!
Buscemi is great. He's like the little weasle you hate to love but just can't help it. There's something diabolically humorous about him.
LOL. I was wondering if someone else would notice that.
