Janeane Garafolololo was just boring. She strives, almost successfully, for a monotone. I could not pay attention to the content of her words because they all droned into each other in a kind of rough hum.
"big Eddie" Schultz strives to be a pompous windbag and specializes in the nasty inside laugh. It substitutes for reasonn. He asserts something absurd and laughs/snorts to support his assertion.
Much of the format of some of the other shows was NPR. Two people speak to each other in a smug of course this is true manner and one has an aural picture of professors in easy chairs in the Club telling each other how it is and how the population is not smart enough to understand. That part about the mental competence of the proles runs throughout the shows. It seems to explain why they do not feel any necessity to back up their assertions- the proles would only be confused. The callers were few and, even though there must have been a hundred freepers feverishly dialing, I heard none. The callers I heard seemed to include mostly Naderites (and Nader) and DU types. I heard absolutely no reason why any non rabid lefty would listen to this. NPR has no competition here and Rush has no competition for any uncommitted seekers.
I did not last the whole 3 days. I turned it off an hour ago.
Randi Rhoades (not a porn star) is the only veteran among them
This guy? I thought he was dead.
