It will be off the air within thirty days of the November election. This is not a serious attempt at creating a "liberal talk show"....its a very creative way of getting around CFR.

Many at DU were upset with this and all the host reading scripts.Last night Randi had her facts wrong, as usual, and won't let anyone correct her. Lots of criticism on DU

Gotta agree there. Not even liberals will keep listening to it. Why? Because it's boring and whiny. There's a reason why Rush is so popular even among those who hate him.

There is a joke of a station that Dishnetwork carries on 9415. Same old tired liberal garbage. They already are doing on-screen fund raisers ala PBS.

Hot Air Amerika is only designed to last through the election. This is to give the Hate America crowd a "MEDIA" outlet to circumvent the provisions of the McLame Feingold Incumbency Protection Act!

It only has to last until November 3, 2004. It becomes useless the day after the presidential election. It is just another way the dems are gaming campaign finance reform.

Yeah, it's bad.
And I saw one of the founders on a news piece the other night, the reporter asked him, "How will you know if you've succeeded here with Air America?" His answer? "This November." There was an awkward pause, then the reporter asked, "This November?" And the co-founder said, "After the elections this November."
This is a radio station people!
Ratings success and eventually turning the ratings success into revenue generation should be the ultimate goal, but these guys have put this thing together for the sole purpose of throwing an election.
I have some bad news for them. Even Rush Limbaugh, with 600+ stations and his long term relationship with 12-20 million listeners couldn't stop Bill Clinton from being elected in 1992 or from being reelected in 1996. Yes, talk radio is powerful, it may have made the difference in 2000, but Air America is not going to have even a microscopic effect on the elections in Nov. I assure you.
