Raze Fallujah
FrontPageMagazine.com ^ | 4/02/04 | Tammy Bruce

The latest reminder of the type of brutality that has ruled Iraq under the thumb of Saddam Hussein is in the action of his supporters, and their al-Qaida mentors, in Falluja. The murder and desecration of the bodies of American contractors reminds us that, while the Iraqis everywhere appreciate and support their liberation, there are a few rats who would prefer a return to the hell that gave the depraved power.

Falluja has remained a hotbed of support for the brutal past regime, and for reasons that can only be explained by political correctness, we have not, up to this point, destroyed that base of murder, terrorism and bestial violence.

I contend it is now time to raze Falluja.

I¹ll remind you of what it took to quell the beasts of Germany and Japan in 1945. Complete and total destruction. There was a reason why we bombed Dresden into oblivion. There was a reason why Berlin was not saved. There was a reason why two atomic bombs had to be dropped on Japan after Hiroshima, they still refused to surrender unconditionally.

Beasts of violence and destruction understand one thing: destruction. The media, of course, are comparing the Falluja horror with Mogadishu. Almost with gleeful hysteria, the Left and their water boys, the mainstream media, seem desperate to cast this as Mogadishu. Why? To make George W. Bush look bad, that¹s why. Because they revel in horror. Because they need Americans to be just like them. We must see a pit like Falluja as Saddam¹s last bunker. The time for political correctness, worry about Oinflaming¹ situations, and restraint, are over. This is war. The people of Falluja have decided to continue the war, so it should indeed be visited upon them with  no mercy.

But consider this inane comment to the New York Times by Brig. Gen. Mark Kimmitt, chief spokesman for the American military command in Iraq, as he tried to explain why American forces have yet to enter the city:

"I think that there was a well-thought-out decision on the part of the Marines that let's not rush headlong into there, there may be ambushes set upSa preemptive attack into the city could have taken a bad situation and made it even worse."

Really? With this kind of response, if Kimmitt was making decisions in April 1945 perhaps we would have simply put a fence around Berlin in an effort not to inflame Hitler.

Really, now, how can we make a situation where Americans have been murdered, set aflame and their bodies dragged through the streets and hung from a bridge Oworse¹?

Let¹s be honest here. The violent only understand violence. Gentility emboldens them. Kindness disgusts them. And it should. Even the barbaric have no respect for being handled with care. Even they know they should be destroyed.

Kimmitt is now making noises that we will be teaching Falluja a lesson. What that would be from the man who didn¹t want to Omake the situation worse¹ I can¹t imagine. Kimmitt should be reminded of Dresden, Berlin, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The brutal respond to and understand brutal might, especially when it is delivered by the decent.

This is a good time to remember, however, the difference between the Clinton and Bush administrations. Bill Clinton was afraid and retreated out of Somalia, which as we know, is what so empowered bin Laden and made him feel Americans would cower when confronted.

We now know bin Laden was behind the Somali warlord in Mogadishu, and when we turned and ran like frightened rabbits, did that help the world situation? Was our cowardice then supposed to help save American lives? While it was supposed to, it did quite the opposite 2001. 3,000 Americans died, mostly civilians, because the American military, neutered by a terrified Clinton government, told the beasts that we have no character, no conviction. Clinton, soft and afraid, told bin Laden that Americans were soft and afraid.

For those of you conflicted, ask yourself, would World War II have ended more quickly if we threw up our hands and said, oh let Hitler have it! Yes, of course. And then what? The disease of Hitler would have metastasized to our homeland, replete, no doubt, with smiling German-speaking Frenchmen leading the charge. After all, so many Jews, so little time!

Were we not supposed to know the consequences of showing the Radical Islamist animals our underside? Did we not understand, despite examples through thousands of years, that murderous despots and terrorists are never appeased, they are made more bold by the retreat of the decent?

Of course, we knew, but we are apt to take our President¹s lead when it comes to what is right. Even today, we have just learned that Clinton knew of the Hutus "final solution" in Rwanda, and the genocide of Tutsis that took place. For years Clinton denied knowing the scope of the slaughter.

Now,
intelligence reports obtained using the US Freedom of Information Act show Clinton knew of the genocide with his senior officials privately using the word within 16 days of the start of the killings, but chose not to do so publicly. Why? Because the president had already decided not to intervene because he remained terrified of "another Mogadishu."

With these reports, it appears the legacy of our first "black president" is that he chose to ignore the murderous slaughter of 800,000 actually black people.

We must decide what we¹re made of because how we handle the barbarians in Iraq will send a message to beasts everywhere. Are we to be like George W Bush or Bill Clinton? It¹s an easy question. Just ask Rwanda¹s surviving Tutsis who they prefer we be like.

I wonder, as Clinton sits around his office with his cigars, Hillary (or some other woman. It really doesn¹t matter, does it?) and John Kerry, does he ever wonder what it¹s like to be hacked to death with a machete? Heck, why do I even ask this of a man whose only concern has been with women whose limbs can do him some good?

Today¹s Democrats, which are Clinton¹s Democrats, still have no stomach to do what¹s right. Why not? Because they cannot see beyond themselves and wanting to save their own skin. The malignant narcissists who run the Democratic Party and American leftists who control our culture, feel there is nothing worth fighting for except their own power.

Facing down the depraved takes courage, perseverance and the resolve to put the bad guys where they belong. We did not leave the world to the Germans because we¹re better than that. And we will not leave the world to the Islamists, because we are still better than that. No matter how much nihilistic American leftists and the media would prefer us to return to the days of fear and cowardice, we willstill refuse to be like them.

For a Democrat, Tammy B rocks. Heck for a person, she rocks. Thank God for women like her. We get her new show on Saturdays on talk radio. She calls herself a JFK democrat. Wish all Dems were like that.

Now, if we could just get Tammy to realize that all her giftedness and cool sense of logic comes from a benevolent power higher than herself.

I'm praying for you Tammy. Good luck on your new show!

I stopped reading after she wrote the following.

There was a reason why two atomic bombs had to be dropped on Japan after Hiroshima, they still refused to surrender unconditionally.

She doesn't know history and we're not going to raze any city.

Or could it be that the sentence is awkward ? Maybe she wanted to say that the reason a SECOND atomic bomb was dropped was that even after the first in Hiroshima Japan did refuse to surrender unconditionally ?

Bump for Tammy Bruce! Do what the Romans did to Carthage: Blow it up and sow it with salt so nothing will grow there. If I may be permitted to borrow the demand of Cato the Elder, our demand should be: Falluago delenda est.

It seems to me that places like this could be easily disarmed with a little creative thought. Just have helicoptors drop in pods containing radioactive waste for a few days - then stripsearch everybody who comes out and, once the city has been "disinfected" yank the pods and make a clean sweep of arms inspections before letting the inhabitants back in.

Hmmmm...Sounds to me like you're not sure if you should be 'peeing for distance, or for accuracy.' Either way it looks like you're more interested in a peeing contest {parsing words) rather than understanding the sum of her article.

Drive all the Fallujahans out of town to tents in the desert, their new homes.

Then level this f'ing Saddam and Gomorrah.

Hmmmm? You are causing me to think.....What if, after they are in the desert, we provide one faucet, half inch line, and monitor who gets the water. If the population of the stinking hell hole is over a million, I'm guessing, there is no way one faucet is going to provide enough water, and I'm also surmising that the old guard supporters of Saddam will be the keepers of the water faucet.

Same with the meager food ration we will provide. Within three days, we would know everyone who needs to be shot at sunrise, and the others would be released before they starve do death or die of thirst. So maybe we ought to save the town so the desert refugees will still have a place to live after we do in the loyalists. Or, an alternative, no food no water, until every loyalist is turned in.

Right. Lay siege to this city. Surround it, nothing goes in, nothing comes out.

After a hundred days or so, I'm sure the townspeople will be marching the perpetrators out for us.

No food, water, or electricity. No medical supplies. Nothing.

When the perps are captured, they are executed publicly. A film is made showing the corpses being sewn up in pigskins and subsequently buried in undisclosed locations.

Then issue the warning that this will be the fate of any who continue to launch attacks against the coalition.

No food, water, electricity, or 72 virgins after they are dead.

The pukes in Fallujah will only understand object lessons. Regretably, they won't be getting one anytime soon. At least not from us. We have fire eaters on FR at night but if you read the threads during the day the appeasers are already at work. If on FR, how much more so in the lamestream? In a week Fallujah will be a nonissue. And too darn bad too.

If you're such a brave fire-eater, why don't you get up from your keyboard and go give the folks in Fallujah an object lesson or two?

poison gas? radioactive waste? these are not the tools of a modern military. RAZE the city after a three day warning and search everyone that leaves, the rest will be gone on day 4.

Agreed....razing a city in retribution sounds like something a democrat would do....

I'd seal the city off, turn off the power until they give up their own. Let the mothers who want to feed their children rise up for food.

If they're going to do it they better do it fast. I live in the Philippines and I loose power on a weekly basis, it's not that big a deal really, except for loosing the Internet. But you know it doesn't get cold here and I have plenty of water on hand and can always go out and buy canned food. It's spring in Iraq now and the weather is getting warmer. It's going to take a long time to starve them into submission probable months and with the liberal press we get a lot of bad press in the meantime. It won't work!!!!

If nitpicking is your only positive contribution to the discussion, it's pretty much useless. But then, that is the typical "progressive" approach to discussions.
