I'm not always a fan of the Economist, nor would I agree that Clintonomics really played out the way this article seems to think it did (NEVER trust a Democrat who says he won't raise taxes... NEVER EVER EVER EVER), but it's an interesting P.O.V.

Searching for John Kerry's economic policy: Is there a there, there?I think his policy is in the incubator on life support. They are trying to resusitate it along with Kerry's campaign and his shoulder.

I can just see lanky John stepping to the podium, "My economic policy will eliminate the deficet in five minutes after I am elected. The bad news is that you WILL be using a awful lot of catsup on everything from now on."

Slimball liberal/socialist Kerry's economic plan: tax, tax, tax, give to duds, dumb, stupid, dropouts, homeless.

John Kerry's economic policy you ask? That's easy! His policy is to take as much of your money away from you as he can!

"Some may be surprised to hear a Democrat calling for lower corporate tax rates, said Mr Kerry in Detroit. The fact is, I don't care about the old debates." Old debates?? After 30 years of fighting to raise taxes, in one week Kerry goes from tax-raiser to tax-cutter and he dismisses the flip-flop by saying that's "old debate", meaning he is not permitting anyone to comment on his implicit admission that he has been wrong for thirty years. Arrogance.
