HAMTRAMCK, Mich. (AP) -- A mosque took another step Tuesday night toward being allowed to send out a call to prayer to Muslims on a loudspeaker.

In a 5-0 vote, the City Council gave its preliminary approval to the Bangladeshi al-Islah mosque to carry the Arabic call to prayer five times a day.

"All it takes is one guy with a suitcase to ruin the whole thing,'' warns Atlanta political analyst Bill Shipp. Any perceived disaster is likely to be blamed on those most responsible for the event, especially Bush, Humphreys said.

Job one for Bush is to look presidential, said Lane Van Tassell, a visiting professor of international relations at Augusta State University.

"He will want to convey at least the image that he is the centerpiece of the summit," Van Tassell said.
