Yeah, like that girl on another thread who was sexually harrassed continuously by a male student, and finally decked him. She was the one who got suspended, not him.

The more you read stories such as this one, the more you think Why should public schools exist anyway? They are more trouble than they are worth.

Idiot school officials banning pink because they want to be "proactive" even though they admit there are no pink-wearing gang members in their town; 18-year-old girl can't go to the prom because she was caught smoking off school grounds, even though she's legally old enough to smoke; girls being sexually assaulted in school and no one -- the school cop, the town cops, or the district attorney want to bother with it, and now this story.

Just shut 'em down, give the parents the money, and let them worry about educating their kids. Most of the parents will do right by their kids -- the parents that don't, well their kids wouldn't succeed in school either. Write them off.

What about "no child left behind"? Of course the kids with parenst that don't educated their kids well can take "the jobs that Americans don't want". Problem is that it would all be viewed as a racist action, the schools being shut down and the under-educated taking jobs from the "guest workers". Plus, don't expect the NEA to just roll over and let this happen.
