Kerry: Oh, you mean the Latin No. 10 on your cap? (what a freaking nitwit)
Larry Elder show | 3-31-04 | dfu

Larry Elder played a clip of John Kerry in New Hampshire from the end of January.

A guy in the crowd, wearing a Malcolm X ballcap, asked Kerry to explain the icon on his hat.

Kerry responded --- The Latin? The ten?

He then said something about the X man or X men.

It had to be explained to him that it was Malcolm X.

Kerry then went into pandering mode about what he knew about Malcolm X.

The clip was really funny, and there was laughing in the crowd.

Will this ever make the mainsteam?

"Panders to anyone and everyone for votes, and is so smarmy about it. Sick sick sick."

Kerry is one of the worst political whores to hit the horizon. And god knows there are a lot of them.

I give, what does the "X" in Malcolm X signify?

I would say "It's a black thing, baby, you wouldn't understand," but I'd be run off the thread......

The "X" is a big deal; just ask Quanell X

Anyone remember that Reverend Algore audio when he spoke at a black church? I think I heard it on Quinn's Warroom back in 2000. It was good for a few yucks.

Well, I think even the Right Reverend Algore could have handled this one better.

Unfortunately that story is quite different than the Latin 10 remark posted earlier.

Well the reporter was being discrete, but other accounts show that was when it occurred and it was what was said.

It's one of those setups from a supporter who thinks he is helping his candidate even as he's steering him into trouble. "I think it's unfair that, as a New Englander, people often say that you won't resonate with the key Democratic constituencies around the country," a man tells Kerry. He suggests that the Massachusetts senator demonstrate his broad appeal by explaining the importance of the letter X on his baseball cap. At first, Kerry is confused. "The importance of ... the Latin--the ten?" he asks. The man clarifies that he means Malcolm X, which hardly makes things any easier for Kerry.

"That Navy jacket doesn't look like it has seen much action. "

They usually don't during the four Summer months.

"You are right. I realized that in full effect last night watching MTV."

I considered watching it but I couldn't bring myself to do it. If I want to vomit I'll shove my finger down my throat.

P.S. I understand there was comedy value to The MTV thing however.

null and void has another account in #74. I also found that one, but if crashes my browser.

But I think this one hasn't been linked yet

Thanks for that link. I apologize to everyone for missing part of the story in the original post. For some reason, Elder made it seem like it had just happened, and I knew he was just pandering at a black church.
