Funny...but comparing any US President to Hitler diminishes how evil that man was. Clinton doesn't have 1/1000 the evil Hitler does.
However to claim Bush is Hitler - that is hilarious in itself. Wasn't Hitler pro-choice?

The same place you heard
If Bush were Hitler, he would fire long time White House employees and then sic the Secret Police on them to besmirch their reputations.
or
If Bush were Hitler he would sic the IRS on any organization that supported the other political party.?

Wait...until I realized you have been here for sometime, I thought you were actually being sarcastic. I heard left-wingers say the same statements and say that Bush has done exactly that (Clarke, for example).

I find it ironic that the first people to call Bush Hitler are the same people who would be Hitler's biggest apologists if he were alive today.

No I was saying the Clintons did exactly that, have you forgotten how Bubba and Hillymay fired the Whitehouse travel personnel and had the FBI smear them and use the Infernal Revenue Service as an attack dog?

I did forget that...I know you where meaning Clinton. But I am just saying that I have heard that the other way as well.
I tend to not believe either (although Clinton doing it would fit his character)...but that is just because I haven't seen real proof either way. I need actual proof....but I digress.

Woah...
I hate to say this, but one of the few areas where American liberals and American conservatives (both of the actual liberal - in a broader sense - political philosophies) agree - is that National Socialism was a horrible, misguided ideology led by an insane man. I don't think American liberals would defend anything done in the name of Nationalist Socialism....

The whole Bush is hitler thing is stupid...if Bush was hitler, everyone complaining would be dead...not blathering on like the idiots they are.. I can't stand people that can't even understand why they are allowed to be ignorant and vocal..

In fact, if memory serves, I believe Hitler was 'pro-life.' No human abortions.
Human referring to the higher races; a la Aryans. Of course, for sub-humans (Jews, Gypsies, Poles, Negroes, and all those 'mongrels', etc.), well, now, killing THEIR unborn children wasn't REALLY abortion, was it? And killing THEM, why, it wasn't REALLY murder... after all, they weren't REALLY human. Not REALLY.
It's amazing what someone can claim when they redefine 'human' to suit themselves.

Exactly! Any comparison with any US President to Hitler / Stalin / etc is dumb...for the same reason.

Very good point...conditional pro-life ;P Kinda like some individuals who say they are Christians, but then have excuses for not following a Christian life - conditional Christians.

I disagree. I see the left using hitler for political gain. They know American families teach their children about nazis. They know the emotions that will be fomented. I submit that they use the evil name of nazi, and or Hitler, for their gain.

I agree the left does - but so do some of us (look at the original post). Both sides are quick to label the other either "fascist" (typically conservatives) or "communist" (typically liberals), while the totalitarian nature of both of those ideologies is inherently contrary to both American Conservative and American Liberal ideals.
In my book, whenever the F or C word comes out in political discussion - whoever is using it (as a comparison), has just lost the argument.

I fight this all of the time. The left has brilliantly managed to get the lie out there that Nazi's were right wingers. Problem is that too many people in this country never pick up a history book so they fall for anything they are told.
Socialism is the utopia of the democrats, not the Republicans, but you would never know it to hear how often this President and conservatives are compared to Hitler. Perhaps we should compare them to Hitler everytime they castigate Israel for defending herself against terrorism!
