American dead butchered 'like sheep'(Time for Fallujah to be taken off the map)

Jubilant crowds dragged the burnt and mutilated bodies of four Americans through the streets of Fallujah yesterday amid some of the most horrific scenes witnessed since the invasion of Iraq.

The four were driving along the main road when they were caught in a vicious crossfire from Iraqis wearing headscarves. The spot is a favourite site for attacks in the pro-Saddam Hussein town.

Yesterday, the corpses were dismembered before parts were hung from a green iron bridge over the Euphrates river, witnesses said. Other remains were hung from an electricity pole. People chanted: "We sacrifice our blood and souls for Islam."

One resident, Abdul Aziz Mohammed, said: "The people of Fallujah hanged some of the bodies on the old bridge like slaughtered sheep."

Beneath the bodies, a man held a printed sign with a skull and crossbones and the phrase: "Fallujah is the cemetery for Americans."

"I saw the people pull one of the dead bodies out of the car and pour [fuel oil] over it. Then they set the body ablaze," said Omar Khalil, an off-duty Iraqi police officer. "The people were praising God for their good fortune in killing Americans." The body was then dragged down the road by the feet.

Neither American soldiers nor Iraqi police were seen in the area after the attack, although an American aircraft flew low over the scene, scattering the crowd.

Hours after the attack hundreds still danced around the burning wreck of a Mitsubishi Pajero and Toyota Landcruiser chanting: "Death, death to the Americans." Some were said to be preparing an ambush for American forces if they returned to recover the corpses.

Aye, that it does. Time to turn the Sunni Triangle into a weapons testing range.

It burns me up that we have all this superior military fire power and we don't use it. What the hell are they waiting for? Go in and "raze" the town. Kill everyone and everything in it. Set an example. If we don't start taking decisive actions now, then this type of violence will begin spreading all over Iraq once the Iraqi's realize there are no consequences for these actions. We have to do it and it has to be done now.

Yes it would, but the chances of Bush doing that are as likely as him going to downtown Baghdad to sell Israeli flags.

Apparently these people were more afraid of Saddam than the worlds greatest military superpower.

Personally, I prefer squadrons of B-52s. Sure, they are old, but they are damned big and a sky full of them will scare the motherlovin' sheepdip out of the knuckle dragging bungholes; especially when the bomb bay doors open and judgement is heaped upon their heads...

I say level Fallujah and all it mosques and turn it into a mall. That way when muslums come to shop they will know what happen to the resident of Fallujah and who did it.

I say forget the islamist consitution in Iraq and created a democratic constitution instead. With real freedoms. I am tired of seeing our President kissing muslum butt, over oil. These muslums infidels do not deserve to have the oil or profit from it. I say take it. Why should we have to pay over two dollars on a gallon of gasoline. And have our miltary risk their lifes, for what? So that these muslums idoits can insults and kill us at their pleasures?
There is something terrorable wrong, when this country will not take care of it own. And if we do drop a few Nuclear bombs on Iraq, and have one of our daisy cutters hit the UN building by accident, on a busy day. O well, blame the muslums it all their fault.

While your anger is understandable
I'm not angry at all, I'm cold and calculating.
There is a goal to achieve, and anger doesn't enable rational steps toward achieving that goal.

anyone who would advocate the indiscriminate
I wasn't indiscriminate. I specified several capitals in the ME.
Indiscriminate would be saturation nuclear bombing of non-enemy areas.

murder of millions of people
Elimination of those intent on killing you is not murder.

bigger monster than even the terrorists themselves.
I have no problem with being the "bigger monster" that is in fact the point of the lesson delivered.
It's never a good idea to wake up the boogieman, or monster.

As far as joining you, no thanks, I choice to not be a willing victim.

How did the world allow this muslim problem to fester to the point that the only solution will have to be of biblical proportion?

I'm talking about the entire middle east and islam, not just Iraq.

The UN has had no problem when the Baathists filled ditches with bodies. The Germans, the French, the Russians, the Stalinists who call themselves "progressives" or "democrats" have no problem with Saddam, or Pol Pot, or Kim Il Jung, stacking bodies. Castro engaging in house cleaning, or Carter and his "boat lift" are OK.

So, if we MOAB the Sunni Triangle, who will say we were wrong?

We need to turn Saddam over to the Iraqi people for a quickie trial and execution. As long as he is alive, these murderers believe the old Iraq can be ressurected. May they burn in hell.

I have never shed my anger over Somalia. My anger burns bright tonight in view of today's events.

This desimation happened for hours. I want to know why the Marines didn't send apache's over the horizon to 50 caliber all those bastards on that bridge. All the Marines would have to do is say "We saw Americans being attacked, and due top the close proximity of the crowd to the Americans we were unable to confirm that the Americans were already dead. That would've sent a real message, and make that world a better place.
