On any given day, Juan Francisco Aparicio will drive his children to the doctor's office, his wife to the grocery and himself to work. Yet, he doesn't have a drivers license.

He can't apply for one because he doesn't have a Social Security card, which he can't get because he is not a legal resident. He moved to Illinois seven years ago from Sacatecas, Mexico, and, like hundreds of thousands of undocumented workers who lack a license, drives a car anyway. Every day.

Not this Sh** again. Just a few months ago, with intense grassroots lobbying we were able to shut down this treasonous legislation before it went to vote. Now the Commie Traitors that run this thoroughly corrupt state are at it again. They just don't give up do they?

IL already has in-state tuition for Illegal Aliens (every republican senator but 1 voted for it!!??). With DLs for Illegals, IL seems hell bent on giving CA a run for their money as the most invaded state in the Union.

I swear, it seems that every time I log on to FR these days I read of yet another story of how our elected officials in one way or another are selling out the people of this great country to some B/S foreign country and/or special interest. It’s getting to be too much to take.

Past revolutions were fought for far less.

IL should change its state abbreviation to ILL...because it is.

From what I remember, a couple of fence sitters got lots of faxes and e-mails screaming for them to oppose this before it came up for a vote. It looks like your going to have to do it all over again.

You are spot on. In fact it really came down to one guy in Mount Prospect (I think) that switched his vote after being inundated with calls and faxes. The sad thing is, sooner or later the Illegal Alien lobby will get what they want. In this state, they have the votes to do it once the trash hits the assembly floor.

Give it time, pretty soon they'll be jumping through your windows like at Rove's house.

I have little hope for Illinois' political climate to improve much in my lifetime. Chicago is a failry hopeless cause and conservatives are an endangered species in the state as a whole.

What I don't understand is how do illegal immigrants get a car's license plate without showing proof of insurance, personal property tax receipt and a drivers license. I would really like to know.

Typical of you to invoke the name of Orin Hatch.
