Baseball fans, draw near. President and Mrs. Bush hosted a luncheon for baseball's Hall of Fame members and new inductees in the State Dining Room at the White House. (Mr. Bush will throw out the first pitch on Monday in St. Louis.)
Laura Bush continued hosting Marta Sahagun de Fox, wife of Mexican President Vicente Fox, as the two First Ladies visited Martha's Table, an organization that helps low-income and homeless children, families and individuals in Washington. They packaged sandwiches for distribution and read a book in English and Spanish to children in a bilingual day-care class.
In an unwitting effort to carry on the cherry tree vs. magnolia tree controversy from yesterday's Dose, Mrs. Bush met with the 2004 Cherry Blossom Princesses in the East Room of the White House.

The problem is not that it's a 'private thread,' but that you don't fit in here. You got that right.
Don't bother responding as there will be no other responses from me here.

I have been blessed to be alive during the Presidency of George W. Bush, who will be counted among our best presidents.
I also enjoyed the presidencies of Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush and Eisenhower, all of whom have been underrated by historians.
This thread is dedicated to those of us who have the sense to enjoy the blessings of God while we have them.
Cheers!
Patty

An crucial error in your post, Joe.
I don't lie...........EVER.
So don't ever accuse me of that again.
We can quibble if you want about the definition of 'hate,' but I've seen it in many, many, many of your posts. Deny it if you will, but what I've seen from you in your frequent uncontrolled anger, is hate.
If you don't want people to think you hate the President, grow up and get control of your temper, and voice your opposition with maturity and rationale.
If you can't do that, you have to accept the consequences of your injudicious, angry criticism.

btw, Joe, what your family does is irrelevant to the way you conduct yourself on this forum. The only 'clue' you have given is the evidence of your own indiscriminate words.
I believe you had a tagline that said that you 'failed (your) anger management' course.
If you want anyone around here to take your (passionate) opinions seriously, it would be wise for you to re-enroll and try to pass the course.
Best wishes, Joe.

Hi Ms.B--
We have two computers too, but only one hooked to the Internet, and that's mostly what we both want to use.
It's a beautiful sunny day here. I think I'm going to forget the housework and weed a flower bed. Don't worry--that "outside improvement" urge won't last long. :-)

I'll defrost your freezer if you'll do my yard work!
Maybe you'll find a treasure. There's still an almost-15 year old piece of wedding cake somewhere in ours--I just can't bring myself to throw it away.

As a charter member of the online website at a certain level, I received an invitation to this function - for "only $500" because of your past contributions and work on behalf of the President.
It killed me that I didn't have the money to go. Whine, whine, WAAAAAAAAAA!
I understand the "usual" invitation was $2000 a plate. No wonder he made so much money at that fundraiser. Salmon sells at the retail level here "Atlantic raised" understand, for somewhere between $3.99 to 4.99/lb. That was some costly piece of fish!
