Coming in late to this post, but I noticed that Robin Williams is on both the "enemies" and "friends" lists.

Some people are patriotic and actively support the troops. Some such as Williams have a long history of this, at least back to the first Gulf War with Williams. So they're good guys. But then they criticize Bush so the Bush lovers jump all over them.

That is the trouble with trying to put people in a one-size-fits-all box, whether it is as a 'good-guy' or a 'bad-guy' box. They don't often fit in either one, and you end up moving them around alot. People are funny and complex like that.

There are actors I don't like to hear from, some of them for political behavior.... but it is because their behavior is obnoxious, rude or crass, and those traits are found in both parties! ;~D

It gets even worse when they define their boxes with huge blanket statements. Once a person decides that speaking against the president during war makes a person a traitor that person is now questioning the patriotism of The Duke.

"Barry Goldwater visited the set of "Stagecoach" during filming. They had a long friendship and later John Wayne helped in Barry Goldwater's presidential campaign."
