Today Show: Iraq Attacks And "9/11 Family" Attacks
The Today Show | March 31, 2004 | aas

Today, La Quric is wearing a tasteful aquamarine blouse, and the 55-gallon drum of makeup in Wardrobe has restored some of her former youthful glory.

Katie and former drug czar Barry McCaffrey* were doing the Blood Dance of the Press Sinister over the pair of current Sunni attacks in Iraq. Apparently, McCaffrey has his finger close to the pulse of Sunni/Ba'athist nationalism, for he was able to "report" authoritatively about Sunni feelings in the area of the attacks. Or he just made it up.

It's not just isolated attacks, it's an "insurgency", Barry declares. At least NBS has the decency to stay away from the term "freedom fighters", unlike CNN-BS.

There was going to be a segment with a pair of "9/11 families" on the Evil Condi Rice, but I was unable to monitor the charade.

The alphabet soup media gives us all of the liberal - anyone but Bush - talking points from the same four New Jersey 9/11 widows thinking that we won't notice that their names are the same ones over and over and over and over again. The fact that hundreds of families have come out supporting the President is left in the dust since these four "cause celebs" speak for "all" of the victims. Wrong.

Ann Coutler's quote hit it right on the head. Can you imagine what these "professional victims" would be saying if President Bush had taken serious military action against bin Laden during the summer of 2001 only to still have the 9/11 attacks occur (they were being planned for years before Bush was even in office). People would be screaming for his impeachment as he would have "caused" the attacks. The fact that the Islamofascists actually did the attacking would have been lost by Katie et al...

9/11: A call to duty. A call to arms. A call to victory over terrorists and their sponsors. Never forget.

Yes, that was Breitweiser. She was in more-in-sorrow-than-anger mode, and got distinctly uncomfortable when Katie mentioned that whereas Breitweiser had voted for Bush in 2000, she was supporting Kerry now.

"This shouldn't be about politics," said Breitweiser. Yeah, right.

Supposedly some document showing all the advance warning the Bush admin had about Al-Qaida attacks, the possible use of planes as terror weapons, etc. It was filled with post-it notes highlighting those sections, she said.

"Did anybody catch which of the phony 9/11 "victim families" al-Katie had on this morning?"

No, but I DID catch a minute of the "Janet Jackson Extraaaaavaganza" on Good Morning, America. After watching her jigging around with a black bra showing over her white shirt (and her fake ta-ta's pooching over the edge of the black bra), I put in my "NYPD Blue" tape from last night. Apparently Miz Jackson doesn't feel her voice alone is capable of captivating the audience for any length of time.

Gee, the Bush admin amassed all that info in 9 short months? None was from Toon's admin apparently, huh? I've lost all respect for this chick.

O'Reilly predicted last week that she was going to "play the victim", and the Media Sinister was going to shill for her "victimhood".

Of course, I don't think that O'Reilly actually speculated about whether Janet's "twins" were going to be part of the "victim" scenario. Talking & singing silicone?

Hey, pal - didntcha know that if Bush hadn't been "selected", Al Gore and a select team of Special Forces troops were going to air drop on Kabul in February 2001 to personally capture Bin Laden and eliminate the Taliban?

I guess the 9/11 Ommission and Bin Laden do have something in common - the desire to disrupt and destroy the American response to the 9/11 attacks.

I did catch the segment, including the interview with the 9/11 family members. There were two. One, Kristen Breitweiser, seems to have become a professional media Bush-basher. She's the one who earlier stated that "Three thousand people were murdered on President Bush's watch."

Wow, what a shock that one of the 9/11 guests was the "lovely" (as Maureen Dowd called her) Ms. Breitweiser!

She's no virago -- the name I would use for her would violate FR standards. ;)

In mid-February, Jack Cafferty let slip on-air that Soledad was pregnant.  (Several visitors to this site had e-mailed asking if she was pregnant; she had planned to keep it quiet longer.)  She and her husband are expecting TWINS in August.  Twins run in her family - her Dad is a twin and her sister has twins.  The twins will join Cecilia (born March 2002) and Sofia (October 2000).
"Can you believe it?" the 37-year-old mother of two told the The New York Daily News. "It's kind of shocking."
O'Brien, who'd been tossing her cookies between live interviews, said she finally has gotten over her morning sickness.
"I'm feeling much better now, but I had really, really bad nausea for the first trimester," she confided. "I never came close to throwing up on a guest, but I warned [co-anchor] Bill Hemmer that something could happen. We had a few trying moments, but that would be too gross to go into."
O'Brien added: "I will tell you this: Whoever marries Bill Hemmer is so lucky. He has been unbelievable. When I told him, he said, 'The next seven months are all about you.'
"Um, my husband, Brad, has been been nice, too."
