I guess he's reading the polls. This issue is helping him because it's keeping national security as the forefront issue, as it should.
They can take care of themselves and it keeps the news cycle on his issues rather than Kerry's. This is audacious.

Heh heh,,the dems are going to be sorry. Be careful what you wish for, for you may surely get it.

The president and Vice-president will testify behind closed doors. As will clinton and gore.
To: ModelBreaker
Its about time they went after them head to head on this issue. For three weeks the Democrats have been running amok, without challenge from the mainstream press as it relates to Clarke's credibility.

Cheney will eat Ben Venista's lunch. He's (Ben) the most crude, IMO.

VP Cheney will testify in private I want to see Cheney slice and dice them. They won't even know they've been skewered until their heads roll across the floor.

Be careful what you wish for, for you may surely get it. I detect the same strategery used during the Iraq debate in 2002.

Bush rope-a-dope. Clarke is TOAST!!!
Clarke is going on a book signing tour. Here is his first stop:
To: Gracey
I disagree with Condi agreeing to testify in public. In my opinion this is another politically tone deaf move by the Republicans. This looks like nothing but caving to democratic pressure and will only make them even more intense in future criticisms.
If they were going to let her testify they should have done it in the first place instead of going thru a dog and pony show about "principles". Nothing but reactive measures by this group.
To: Samwise
Damn, I want them all in public, all of them except Bush. This is Condi's main chance,,she is goiing to run for President in 2008 and this is her debut.

I bet you're correct... It helps to keep the National Security issue on the front burner.

It is amazing how much smarter these guys are than the media and the Dems. They sit back and take a beating for weeks, once it subsides and the pols hit their lowest( which isn't bad at all) they come back in a flurry. I think Ali called it the "rope-a-dope".

I figured it would come to that. Now the rats can try to accuse her of perjury. On the other hand maybe they can nail Clarkey with perjury. We can dream anyway.
