I stopped all correspondence with my half-sister in Liverpool for just such an attitude-even though she is my sole surviving sibling. The attitudes are so commonplace there,I'm surprised the reviewer even bothered.

The biggest problem is that the world is not how the libs portray it. There is a major disconnect between reality and the libs' view of reality.
There is not "love around the world" and regardless of what we do, our enemies will still hate us. The U.N. is corrupt, lacks power, and does not have the peace-making authority that the libs want it to be.

A principled stance! I too have known the sadness of losing cherished friends over this. I have corresponded with a British journalist about his sorrow at losing virtually all his friends and being regarded by the last loyal few as mad.
People in Europe are often so consumed with hatred. How can those who consider themselves compassionate contemplate the spectacle of people being burned to death by 3000-degree jet fuel and laugh? How can they sneer at the deaths of three thousand innocents? The self-regarding shallowness staggers me. This is the mindset that tolerated the Holocaust.

Really? What is the matter with these people? Is it just socialism? Our own country is trying hard to go to socialism under the banner of democrats, and I suppose some of them have the same kind of attitude. I am really surprised to hear this.
