Terri Schiavo Hospitalized With Apparent Puncture Wounds In Arm! Apparent Foul Play!

In 7:25 break, anchor reported "Terri Schiavo was rushed to a Pinellas County emergency room last night after nursing home staff noticed puncture wounds on her arm. The wounds appeared to be caused by a hypodermic needle! Toxicology tests were conducted but the results are not available yet!"
This could open a huge new round in this case. What did tests reveal? Who was last person in room? When was husband there? Was staffer trying the Angle of Death routine?
This will be developing hard all day!

Listen, isn't it obvious to everyone that the day after a judge denied the parents the right to know Terri's medical condition, that her parents took blood from her, so that they could find out if Terri's husband has been injecting her with substances? If I were her parents, I would do it!
No, It isn't obvious. These parents have gone through so much, they are not about to jeopardize their position now.
Michael wants us to think that's what they did, but he doesn't even let them visit her without someone present. He is the one who goes behind closed doors. A nurse has already testified she believes he injected Terri with something a few years back.
Felos also said that after the parents' visit, Terri Schiavo was found in "a disheveled state" with her feeding tube wrapped around her back and a medical wrist band pulled up very tight on her arm like a tourniquet.
I think he carried it too far by staging the feeding tube and allergy band. Terri's parents would not have left her in that state. It sounds like a staged job to me.

I would think that any "assisted living facility" that allows patients to develop bedsores and then refuses to treat them would be on the fast track for license revocation and shutdown.
I hope Governor Bush is looking into that aspect of the situation.
Do they realize over there at Park Place that Michael's antics could cause them to lose their entire business? Or are they just on the take?
And what in the world is Terri doing being warehoused in a nursing home, where she is prevented from receiving any medical care by all-powerful HINO and his "right to die" facilitators?
This entire stinking mess cries out for a gigantic investigation. This rock needs to be turned over so all the slimy critters under it can face the light of day.

It says 45 minutes in the article, but it sounds like that is the time given by Felos. Do you know if the police or the nurses have given a statement on the timeline?
To: floriduh voter
That's it? So almost immediately after her parents leave, Terri is changed into a gown? Even more curious.

I haven't read any actual time interval from the time the Schindlers left the room and Terri was discovered in that state. What the stories have said is that the Schindlers had a 45 minute visit, which you may have confused with the time interval. I know I did in the first reading.

I happen to believe that Schiavo's motivation is some kind of sick need to "win" over Terri's parents. It is a control thing, as it often is with abusers.
The really scary thing is that Terri was taken to the hospital were Micheal works!

Considering there are armed guards posted in her room "protecting" Terri from her parents while they are visiting, I don't see how they would possibly be able to draw blood! Good grief, they wouldn't even let her Mom apply lip gloss to Terri on her birthday!

I think the poster meant "Angel of Death" routine: Surreptitiously sending in a staffer, such as a nurse, with a lethal injection. I have also heard the term "angel of mercy," which is a euphemism for a person willing to commit euthanasia.
The reference to "stab wounds" is confusing. Personally, I am envisioning wounds caused by a knife, or very large caliber needle. A "stab wound" is not what an observer or an investigator would report--unless they had never seen a mark after a routine injection--with the routine or proper use of a needle used for intramuscular injections, which is typically a 21- or 22-guage needle. And one does not use the same needle for more than one stick. So . . . if she had several puncture wounds, someone may have used one larger caliber needle over and over again.
God, please protect this woman from evil "do-gooders!" Today's healthcare providers are so confused and misled by the propaganda of the "culture of death."

How convenient huh? I agree with you that Control is part of Schiavo's motivation but we sure can't downplay the greed either.

"I think he carried it too far by staging the feeding tube and allergy band. Terri's parents would not have left her in that state. It sounds like a staged job to me."
That was my immediate reaction also.
A rather clumsily staged job. Way too obvious.

Here's the latest from AP. It says Jeb asked the FDLE to monitor the investigation, but the FDLE will only step in if Clearwater police request their assistance. The story gives no timeline on when Terri was discovered in this state after the Schindler's 45 minute visit.
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - Terri Schiavo, the severely brain-daamaged woman at the center of a long-running right-to-die court battle, was hospitalized briefly after nursing home workers found what appeared to be needle marks on her arms, a lawyer for her husband said Tuesday.
However, tests found no unauthorized drugs or other substances in her blood. Clearwater police were investigating, and Gov. Jeb Bush said he has asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to also get involved.
George Felos, the attorney representing Michael Schiavo, said the puncture marks - four on arm, and one on the other - and a purple needle cap in Terri Schiavo's gown were discovered after a 45-minute visit Monday by her parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, who have been fighting Michael Schiavo's legal efforts to remove his wife's feeding tube so she can die.
"It appears that someone was either trying to inject Terri Schiavo with something or withdraw fluids from her," Felos said, characterizing it as "a criminal assault."
Terri Schiavo's father, Bob Schindler, told WTSP-TV in Tampa that nothing was wrong with his daughter when he left the hospice Monday afternoon. He said he did not insert a needle into his daughter's arms.
The Schindlers referred calls Tuesday to attorney George Tragos, who said it was "absurd" to suggest that her parents were somehow responsible.
"It's just another mean-spirited attack designed to get some judicial advantage," Tragos said.
Terri Schiavo was taken to the emergency room at Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater Monday night where tests were performed, Felos said. She was returned to the nursing home before dawn Tuesday.
After the parents' visit, she was found in "a disheveled state," Felos said, with her feeding tube wrapped around her back and a medical wristband pulled up tight on her arm like a tourniquet.
Tragos said the Schindlers reported that Terri was clean, dressed in street clothes and sitting up when they left the facility Monday.
"I have no idea what happened, but it certainly is mysterious since we believe she was actually showing some improvement," Tragos said.
Bush, who intervened to have Terri Schiavo's feeding tube reinserted in October, said Tuesday that he wants to know more about what happened.
"It's concerning to me, but there's no specific evidence to suggest any wrongdoing," he said. "So, let's get the information before we cast aspersions."
Bush said he asked the FDLE to monitor the investigation. Spokesman Rick Morera said the agency likely will intervene only if Clearwater police seek help.
Michael Schiavo has ordered that his wife will have no visitors until authorities complete their investigation.
Monday afternoon, Circuit Judge George Greer denied a motion filed by the Schindlers seeking to have Michael Schiavo defend himself in a hearing against charges that he is not sharing sufficient medical information about his wife with her parents.
The Schindlers say he has violated a 1996 court order requiring him to share the information. He countered that he has shared sufficient information with themwant to be on life support. Her parents say otherwise.
Michael Schiavo won a court order to remove a feeding tube in October, but the state Legislature quickly passed a law that allowed Bush to order the tube reinserted.
Michael Schiavo claimed the law was unconstitutional and has sued the governor. That case is pending.

And to all posters of this site: be careful regarding your use of the term "right to die." A right is something that is inalienable, such as the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." These are gifts from God. Nothing or no one should be able to stand in the way of these things, at least not here in America as our Founding Fathers have stated. When you begin to establish a "right to die," nothing should be able to stand in the way of this, not even treatment. The "right to die" is the propaganda of proponents of physician-assisted suicide and euthanasia. The most ardent supporters of a "right to die" don't believe in eternal life, or they think they will end up in some cosmic recycle bin. How about using the term "right to refuse treatment?" Death--the curse on us because of the Fall, and God allows it--was never His intention.
