SAINT-BRIAC-SUR-MER, France -- John Kerry's relatives in France bristle at jabs from across the Atlantic that the presidential contender has a French connection.
They say Kerry has no link to France other than the home his grandparents bought here.
"John Kerry is incredibly American," says Brice Lalonde, Kerry's cousin and mayor of this seaside Brittany village. "He has absolutely nothing French about him."

Kerry's long, angular face "resembles Abraham Lincoln, without the beard."
Well, I dunno...

Kerry's not really a Frenchman. He just plays one on TV.

Since Kerry speaks French so fluently, maybe he can help the Iraqis get their money back from the UN.

The International Man of Mystery JF'n Kerry, a sister in the UN, a cousin in French politics, a hyphenated wife. What else is going to pop up to make this dirtbag seem more worldly?

"For Lalonde, Kerry's long, angular face "resembles Abraham Lincoln, without the beard."
I always think bassett hound when I see him.
He's an effete liberal with globalist leanings who would rather fawn over European approval at the expense of American interests.
Let's see his dismissal of Kyoto, the UN's Tobin tax, the UN Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST). Naw..he's too beholden to his French relatives and Ter-AA-za's money and influence.

"John Kerry is incredibly American," says Brice Lalonde, Kerry's cousin and mayor of this seaside Brittany village. "He has absolutely nothing French about him." Nice of this French fellow to tell us what makes someone "American." But my goodness, we're too dumb to determine what makes someone French. I guess they know more than we do about "American-ness" too! Ah, the arrogance... yup, this guy is definitely a Kerry.
Saint Briac, near the port city of Saint Malo, is a place of rugged seascapes and narrow, cobbled lanes that inspired Renoir and other Impressionists. It was here that the Massachusetts senator spent boyhood summers and has said he traced his first inspiration to become a politician.
Why am I not surprised that Kerry's political career was inspired by his residence in France?
"He introduced us to games like capture the flag. We still play something called kick the can," said Lalonde, who at 58 is two years Kerry's junior.
Well, I guess we know what the next "manly man" photo op will be. From the AP: "A fit John Kerry, the Democratic nominee, plays 'kick the can' with staffers during a campaign break."
Like his American cousin, Lalonde ran for president. But that was 1981 and he received less than 4 percent of the French vote.
Dare we hope these election results represent a family trend?
"The president of the United States -- it's not a question of going shrimping."
Hmmm. I may have found my new tagline.

"John Kerry is incredibly American." Somehow I imagine them spitting this out in disgust....as they (once again) show their ingratitude for the fact that they don't speak German today.

I like the joke I've seen on FR about the horse who goes to a bar and orders a drink...but when Kerry enters the bar the 'tender asks him "Why the long face?"

"During the war, the Nazis occupied Les Essarts and then destroyed it when they left."
Maybe the Resistance destroyed it because the Nazis were welcomed guests of Kerry's kin.

When I lived in Massachusetts I knew one of the Forbes clan (he was actually named "Forbes"), who would sniff and express disdain when asked about John F. Kerry, then our attorney general. He was not considered a "real" Forbes.

Frederick A. Kerry, was born Fritz Kohn in 1873 in what is now the Czech Republic; an ethnic German
So many lies errors, so little time..
1) The town Mr. Kohn was born in is in BOHEMIA.
2) Bohemians are not, repeat NOT, "ethnic Germans!" They are... gee this is a toughie, Bohemians.
3) Calling a Bohemian a Czech (forget german) is like calling a Scott or a Welshman an Englishman. Or in the days of the USSR calling a 'slovak' a czech because they both lived in Czechoslovakia.
4) Bohemia was once a seperate kingdom and IS a sperate etnicity (think Bosnia) and should have formed it's OWN republic when when Czechoslovakia 'broke up'. Why they decided to align with Morovia and form the Czech republic is somwhat puzzeling to me, but I'm sure they had a reason.
(is Kerry ashamed of being BOHEMIAN?)

French relatives call Kerry "all American"?
The frenchies also call Chirac a "conservative."
Somehow, I don't trust their take on anything.

We'd go shrimping and
have them cooked up in the kitchen Notice they didn't cook them, nor do I imagine a member of the family do the honors.....Am sure it was their hired help that did the work. Wonder if any member of the family knows how to turn a stove on? Sure sounds "All American" to me! /sarc
