As Cameron Kerry could learn, it's not easy being the president's brother.
Richard Nixon had his embarrassing brother, Donald, who used the Nixon name to get a $200,000 "loan" from Howard Hughes.
Jimmy Carter had Billy, who hired out as a lobbyist to Libya, then had Billy Beer named for him before he sobered up.
Bill Clinton had cocaine-snorting Rogeralthough Roger may claim that he, too, was sometimes embarrassed by his brother.
Then there's George W. Bush, who has one brother who is the totally reputable governor of Florida. But then there is Neil Bush, who seems too casual about profiting from the family name and claims to be tired of being the worthless brother in a good family. Neil was caught in a nasty divorce and had to admit that sometimes, when he is in a hotel room, strange women appear and want to have sex with him. Anyway, that's how he explained it in a deposition.
Now Cameron Kerry, 54, wants to help his big brother, John, win the presidency.
Cameron is an attorney at the Boston firm Mintz Levin, mostly advising clients on environmental law; he also works before the FCC on telecommunications matters. Before joining Mintz Levin, he once worked as an associate at Washington's Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering.
Compatriots of Cameron Kerry's say his self-image is geared toward playing "RFK to his brother's JFK." The two brothers talk frequently, and Cameron played a major role in the campaign-manager switch that turned Kerry from apparent loser to runaway winner.
According to 1972 Massachusetts newspaper articles, Cameron was arrested during his brother's first congressional campaign. He was supposedly found trespassing in the basement of a building where his brother's opponent had an office.
Newspaper headlines proclaimed KERRY BROTHER ARRESTED IN LOWELL WATERGATE.
John Kerry ended up winning the primary. No charges were filed, and suspicion was that Cameron had been lured there by an opponent's dirty trick.
For Washington journalists, always hopeful of controversy in the First Family, the incident does provide at least some hope of yet another presidential brother who could be good copy.

Gee, maybe he'll get to be USAG (gag).

http://markusd.forclark.com/story/2004/1/19/123431/541 Over the years, Kerry has played a role in telecommunications legislative and oversight matters, some of which affect his younger brother's clients. According to the firm's Web site, Cameron Kerry "has represented cable industry and other communications clients before the [FCC], federal and state courts, state regulatory bodies, and municipalities in litigation under the Federal Communications Act and other laws; rate regulation proceedings; franchising and renewal proceedings; FCC rulemakings and licensing; regulatory aspects of mergers and acquisitions; counseling regarding regulatory and legal developments; and state common carrier proceedings."
Cameron Kerry has been with Mintz, Levin since 1983. Attorneys at the firm have been opening their checkbooks for John Kerry's campaigns ever since.

Now now, lets be nice :-)
Cameron looks as he should, given his ethnicity. He looks like your typical BOHEMIAN.
And I don't mean beatnik. Cameron KOHN's granddaddy was from the country of Bohemia, which until 1526 was an independent kingdom.
And I wonder, are the Kerry's, oops, KOHN's, ashamed of their BOHEMIAN heritage???? Enquiring minds want to know.
