They're too late. We have already dumped Heinz products and we will never go back.

I would imagine that 4% of Heinz corporation stock is a pretty big number. Revenue in 2002 and 2003 was over $2 billion. Estimated revenue for 2004 is around $1.9 billion.
I can't set my hands on the market capitalization right away, but I imagine it's a pretty large figure.

Hunts ketchup and Vlassic (chilled) dill pickles are my choices. And the French and most anything from the Left Coast are off my radar screen.

It was just a coincidence that our Atkins diet keeps us from eating 57 sauce and ketchup.
But what a good coincidence.
(I always prefered Hunt's, anyway)

I've found the Kroger store brand of ketchup to be just as good and about a dollar cheaper for a large bottle. And that was before John F Ketchup decided to run.

Collectively, Heinz Kerry, along with her children with John Heinz and The Heinz Endowments which she chairs, own less than 4 percent of outstanding company stock. The market capitalization of H.J. Heinz is about $13 billion. Four percent is $520 million. I don't know about you guys, but to me $520 million ain't chump change.

No more Ore Ida for us. Bought the store brand last time, and they're better than any F'ng Ore Idas. Saved a buck, too.

Much greater math minds here than mine.
I did read a post on a thread here lately that Heinz has 72 production facilities, 57 of which are overseas.
I thought about kerry's "Benedict Arnold Corporations" comment decrying outsourcing.
I am not surprised by the Heinz spin.
I figure poor dead Republican John Heinz is doing a lot of spinning.
BTW, John Heinz was and is to this day highly regarded in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Theresa and the gigolo can spend his money, but they will never even approach his stature.

I didn't buy a damn thing from Heinz today... 80% of their operations is overseas (I think this is correct).
John Kerry's company is big time into outsourcing. What a horrible thing to do to the poor working man, I wonder if his company is dodging taxes by stationing 80% of operations overseas? How many workers are displaced by such greed? What an awful greedy man, terrible corporate crook, just awful.

They can save their breathe, I'll never again buy a Heinz product.
Senator Heinz (may he rest in peace) should have chosen his mate more carefully. Ter-AY-Sa and her hubby already have money funneling in from too many sources (AOL, Time Warner, etc.)
They don't need my 2 bucks for a bottle of ketchup to add to their till.

Heinz needs to go back in time and sponsor a more capable candidate for President. I never heard this guy flip flop, make stupid statements or cuss out Secret Service agents.

I post on the AOL political message boards and although there is a lot of "chatter" about Kerry and the Heinz connection it centers mostly on whether he is being hypocritical in his position on "anti- outsourcing" while he is denouncing the practice or at least advocating putting new "stringent" tax regulations on those companies that do.
