I saw this on Fox News tonight. Fox said she ran as a moderate against McKinney, but is now running as a liberal for the Senate seat. They also said that McKinney is planning on running for her old Congressional seat.

Does that mean that Jihad Cindy is gonna win her old seat back? The GA 4th district race is won in the Democrat primary; ain't no way a Republican is ever gonna get that seat.

Asked by a reporter if Cynthia McKinney would support Majette's Senate bid, McKinney responded "Hell no. You've got to be crazy."
Georgia's 4th District is so much like the rest of the state.

That is the worst part of this. Cynthia will probably get her old seat back.

That is probably what it means. However, one of the things that happened when the Democrats gerrymandered the congressional map a couple of years ago is that they tried to get as many Democratic leaning districts as possible in a Republican state. The only way to do that is to have a lot of barely Democratic districts and as many overwhelming Republican districts as possible. That means none of the districts is as heavily Democratic as they were.
As high as Cynthia's negatives are, I would think that a Republican running a really good campaign might have a shot. The problem is, Cynthia is going to be WAY out in front of any Republican in that district as far as name recognition.

Does this mean McKinney won't be a Cornell Prof anymore??

Despite the gerrymandering, the 4th is still a 'RAT stronghold. I don't think a Republican has a chance UNLESS McKinney is running. McKinney's lucky there's a competitive GOP Senate primary so Pubbies in her district can't stop her.

Thats an old map! I would be in the 9th on that map, but I am in the 7th. It looks like the pre-2001 map.

One term in Congress and she's running for the Senate? The worst of this is that it makes Jihad Cynthia the front-runner to get the congressional seat.

My mistake. I didn't see your posting.

Who cares? Both are basically Nazis. McKinny is just a little more vocal about it, being anti-semetic and all.
Anyhow, looks like the Dems found their sacrificial lamb. Nobody is gonna keep this seat for them.
Go Cain Go.

Awesome! A Herman Cain vs. Denise Majette match up would be good for the nation. It could start an honest debate about reace relations in America.
