The Jewish communities have been lied to and hoodwinked for years by the Dims. Just as American Indians have been promised the moon and only got stardust. Russell Means finally woke up in South Dakota's Pine Ridge Reservation and is promoting a Republican. All we can do is hope the Jews wake up to who their real friends are.

It makes me sick (as an American Indian) of all the wasted years the "sit around the fort" Indians were waiting for their dole of bad bacon and weevil flour. Now lets let the Conservatives have a chance to teach us how to make it on our own, and hope the Jewish community sees the light too.

If they didn't, I propose that we should be in the business of showing it to them. I have long contended that a major cornerstone of election '04 should be mass quantities of footage from inside the various anti-Bush / anti-War / anti-Israel rallies, every revolting detail, with the final point of each ad asking "Are these the people you want in charge of your country?"

We'll see how deep the resentment runs if, in a few months, Kerry sharpens his rhetoric against Israel. That would prove to me that a sizable percentage of the large donors have left the fold, and he's turned instead to the Mike Farrell Hollywood pro-PLO types for donations.

I'm starting to think now that the whole manufactured campaign against The Passion of the Christ was little more than an attempt to stem the tide of defections of Jewish Americans from the party whose rank-and-file clearly hate the existence of their homeland, to the party which clearly will defend it. In hindsight it looks to me like a thinly veiled "You cant trust Christians, they're closet Nazis, so don't pay attention to the overt Nazis on the Left, m'kay?"

The percentages might be less important than the location. Didn't Jews in Florida abandon Carter en masse after the Mariel boatlift? Something similar could secure Florida for President Bush.

My sense is that national security is a bigger issue for American Jews than Israel. American Jews LOVE the United States, and recognize in their heart and soul how unique and exceptional this country is. They see clearly that the Democrats don't get what the Republic is about, and would gladly make our national security hostage to the U.N.

Let me tell you, this is just the tip of the iceberg, and Kerry is steering the DNC Titanic to disaster. I know one of the families mentioned, and am REALLY SURPRISED they are named. They were until very recently BIG TIME Dems, but then I heard they recently had Vice President Cheney over to their house. And he's invited to another former big time DNC donor's house that I know.

AND, Arnold Schwarzenegger is going to Israel very soon with a group, including a few people I know, for the ground breaking of the new Wiesenthal Museum in Jerusalem. Some of this group were once Dems, and are now BIG TIME President Bush lovers.

AND, it's not just about ISRAEL. So the GOP needs to remember that. And, the GOP needs to remember that getting the Jewish vote shouldn't just be about fundraising. Most younger Jews are Republicans-- so we should be reached out to for votes, not just for money.

The article reports that Republican support went from 19 to 35% from 2000 to 2002. That is an 84% increase in votes. I call that a very statistically significant realignment.

Another connection the 5th column overlooks in pretending that secular Ba'athists and other militant Arabists disagree with militant islamists about everything. They both believe in Osama's "strong horse" theory. Turning their "strong horses" into dog food and glue before their eyes is an object lesson to both.

Cinnamon Girl, I hope you won't mind my addressing a question to you about the general assessment of your ethnic grouping of a particular subject, but I wonder if you have heard, in your own circles, any discussion of the kind of virulently anti-Israel, anti-Semitic demonstrations that were omnipresent at the anti-Bush (er, "war") rallies last weekend? The word "Israel" spelled with a swastika rather than an "s," for example. Do you sense an existing or, better, growing resentment amongst the American Jewish community that the Democratic party does not publicly denounce these sentiments? Would the illustration of these sentiments to the greater community, and the questioning as to why the Democratic party does not flee from and disavow such rhetoric, be an effective means of discrediting the Left?

I wouldn't ascribe such behavior to "Jews" in general any more than I would use the fact that the Klan is exclusively white to argue that "Whites support the Klan."
