Lula, Facing Drop in Polls, Vows to Maintain Policies (Update3) March 29 (Bloomberg) -- Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, facing a drop in approval ratings for failing to revive economic growth, said he will stick with his policies of fighting inflation and controlling spending in a bid to keep South America's largest economy from defaulting on its debts.
