Hamas Expresses Regret At Postponement Of Arab Summit
Mar 28, 2004
Gaza - The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has expressed regret over the indefinite postponement of the Arab summit that was scheduled to be held in Tunisia on 29-30 March.
Hamas issued a statement, a copy of which was made available to PIC, expressing deep regret for putting off the summit that was supposed to adopt "daring resolutions" to check the Zionist aggression on the Palestinian people, to condemn the assassination of martyr Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, to support the Palestinian people's steadfastness and to boost joint Arab endeavor.
The statement said that the Arab governments should live up to the challenges of the current stage and to forge better cohesion with their peoples in face of the all-out aggression on the entire Ummah.
Meanwhile, observers opined that the summit's postponement meant giving Sharon a green light to continue in his policy of assassination against Palestinian leaders.
