I was waiting for this to go up. We're about t-minus one hour from it (depending on how long Duke-Xavier goes, I guess). Too bad it's not going to be a long interview like Clarke had. I've noticed that 60 Minutes are not promoting this either. The commercial I just saw advertised the story on soccer phenom Freddy Adu, not the story on Rice or Pickering. I also discovered from the link referenced above that Rice spoke to them this morning and not yesterday as I'd heard would be the case before. Bill Kristol predicted this morning that Rice might say that if this is really such a big deal that she'll testify in public under oath as she's been badgered to do. I don't think Bill has a good track record on predicting news, so take that with a grain of salt. By the way, go Xavier-- I had Duke losing before now in my office pool bracket, but my opponents have them winning it all.

If she cannot outsmart a clown like Bradley we might as well give up. She is thrice the man he is.
To: McGruff
He looks like a stunt double from the remake of Planet of the Apes.

Hewitt said the 1st time CBS had not reported the link to Clarke's publisher was "an oversight." Failing to do so tonight is a deliberate omission.
To: Peach
CBS spending more time on showing Clarke and clips of Sunday am shows than on Condi. Bradley is trying to provoke her with his questions.
(Have both Texas and NM cable, switched to the Texas station so I don't have to wait.)

There was never anything wrong with Bush asking everyone to check out Iraq. The Admin dropped the ball this week by suggesting Bush never pulled Clarke aside - he easily could have and why would anyone not expect him to make sure we covered all the bases on Iraq after such an attack given what Saddam had threatened to do to us.

Frankly, Condi could answer the reasons why President Bush asked about Iraq much better.
1. First WTC bombing and how there were links to Iraq.
2. Iraq military went on its highest form of alert since the Gulf War, two weeks prior to 9/11.
3. Iraq state run newspaper made mention, pre 9/11, how AQ was going to hit America where it had been hurt before (WTC) and they would never sing Sinatra's song "New York, New York" again.
4. etc. The list is long. Why isn't she detailing why the Bush administration was particularly concerned about Iraq AND AQ.

Bradley saying we've had more AQ attacks in the world since 9/11 than before so how can she say we've got them on the run.

Another edit -- cut off her response. Makes her look like she's stumbling. Bradley won't let her finish, interrupts.
