he's much improved since he referred to scripture as
"clauses" in mississippi.

the lease contract for my SUV has clauses . . .but NOT
the Word of God.

"Kerry campaigned from the pulpit today at New North Side Baptist Church in St. Louis."

I'm sick of the double standards. I also question a religion that allows someone to campaign from the pulpit.

Looks like Mammon wins over God in this one.

If I were Kerry I wouldn't do that. He is not exactly on the Pope's good guy list!

BTW,

here's one for Kerry:

Kerry is Roman Catholic, but has chosen to ignore the pope's directive that Catholic politicians do all they can to stop abortion. In an interview with Time magazine, Kerry said, ``I don't tell church officials what to do, and church officials shouldn't tell American politicians what to do in the context of our public life.''

~What profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his soul?~

And what does it profit a man's soul to claim belief in the Catholic theology and yet condemn millions of children to death by abortion?

And why is it that only Republican politicians are not allowed to speak in churches?

where are the works of compassion?

Anyone ask Kerry where his own works of compassion are? As I understand it, he typically donates $00.00 to charity. One year he slipped and actually gave $135.00 to ??? Questioned on it, he explained he had two kids in college; as Howie Carr pointed out, however, that same year he found $6,400 to buy a motorcycle.

On a related note, Howie Carr also ran a couple of segments (I didn't catch the whole thing) asking for people who've met up with Kerry in his "Do you know who I am?" mode; he found plenty of people willing to share.

ROTFLOL!

There's nothing worse than an armchair Christian who quotes scripture out of context.

Hey JFK, I can prooftext with the best of them. "Thou shalt not murder" (Exodus 20:8). Abortion is murder. You support abortion. Therfore: _____________

Kerry campaigned from the pulpit today at New North Side Baptist Church in St. Louis.

Oh well, Kerry's new Palistenian buddy said essentially that Bush is an enemy of God as well. Suppose the two got together to compare theology before hand?

"He told worshipers, ``The Scriptures say, 'What does it profit, my brother, if someone says he has faith but does not have works?''' The Massachusetts senator added, ``When we look at what is happening in America today, where are the works of compassion?''"

We have a scripture lawyer here.

Appears he is quoting James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

So JFKerry perverts the scripture, cause the kind of "work" and "profit" that is spoken of is explainded in verse 18...

Yea, a man may say, "Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works."

KOMMIE-KERRY

HAS ABOUT as much

heart-felt-&-applied

familiarity with The Bible

As Billdo and Shrillery have with

chastity, morality, humility and patriotism.

. . . which I'd guage at roughly in the -1300% realm--or worse.

The fact is that kerry and a whole bunch of other people who call themselves Roman Catholic are not. One either subscribes to the whole enchilada or one does not. That means you are either a Roman Catholic or you are not.(of course the more softened version is that one is a "lapsed catholic)

This story is just too funny to comment..

The dims gotta understand this case here -

when Bush quote the scriptures, he is believable, and he makes his enemies squirm...

when the dims quote the scriptures, they come out phony, opportunistic and really turning off the religious base...

Kerry should learn the lesson of Gore or the film critics of the movie "Passion" -

the lesson is - if you have nothing good to say, don't say it! and most importantly, don't be a phony in saying stuff you yourself don't believe.

It would be interesting to find out what type of Baptist Church is this New North Side. I'd be willing to bet it's not SBC or Independent.
