Monsoor Ijaz to testify before 9/11 commission
Fox News Channel ^ | 3/28/04 | me

Posted on 03/28/2004 1:36:20 PM PST by alnick

Please forgive the vanity, but I've done a search and cannot find any reference to this.

I saw Monsoor Ijaz on FNC an hour or so ago, and he said that he has been asked to testify before the 9/11 commission. He appeared to be anxious to do so.

If this has been posted elsewhere, I'll ask the mod to take this down.

"I think the 9-11 Commission hearings are a bipartisan thing."

Certainly, you must be joking. This has been as partisan a witchhunt as you're likely to see anywhere...do you actually believe this is an honest attempt at fact-finding? So far, it's all been about the Left trying to assign blame to the Bush Administration!!

The Middle Eastern links to the OKC blast have been made by Wolfowitz, Laurie Mylroie and several members of Congress who want to reopen the investigation.

The book The New Jackals was written in 1999 by Simon Reeve and clearly outlines more facts than I can remember. What I do remember is that Nichols wife was not in the Phillipines at the time. As well, the bomb used to bring down the OKC building is the EXACT same kind of fertilizer and explosive ingredients that Yousef used in the past. John Doe #2, never found, was described as a Middle Eastern man.

There are several old threads and sites you could visit if you were interested in reading more about this matter.

Just do a search for Oklahoma City Bombing.

For anyone who's interested and has some time, click here to read (in PDF) Toon's last National Security Strategy statement from December of 1999.

The info on terrorism is found on pages 15-16. Makes interesting reading.

I don't think they have talked to Mylroie.

As Clinton's terrorism expert (there was more than just Clarke hanging around!), I'd expect them to call her.

BUT, they know what she'll say and it won't be pretty for Clinton so they will stay away.

Great news! He offered himself on FoxNews last week; saying he would be happy to testify; that he wanted more than anything to set Clarke's record straight; said Clarke had soooo many things wrong, that needed to be set straight...

Bravo for the truth.

Hope the panel will know it, when they hear it. And hope they will remember it when they do write up the truth of the matter for their final.

He is incredible; so glad Fox News has him for ME analylsis.

"Too many predictions gone South for old Monsoor". . .

This Commission is not going to hear predictions; only history; which is much easier to re-formulate.

That said, I find him 'right on' most of the time; he has incredible contacts and resources for his analysis.

On target or if 'off'; Mansoor's analysis is astute; and his integrity always in tact.

"I think the 9-11 Commission hearings are a bipartisan thing."

. . .just like Clarke who implies that he is a Repub and that he votes for - and supports Republicans. When in fact, he voted for Algore; supports John Kerry and contributes only to Democrat candidates and Demrat campaigns.

The Dems have hammered Clarke's bi-partisan credentials into the ground. But, the truth is 'out there' and so we know better.

Clarke is motivated by power or the loss of it. Some men have trouble with powerful women like Ms. Rice. Not only is she smart but she was close to the president. Clarke walked out the front door knowing he would write this book. He had hopes of assuming power under a Kerry presidency. His mission is to ruin Ms. Rice and her boss. The 90's saw many terror attacks. Clarke was kicked in the rear many times by Islamic terrorists. Ms. Rice was nowhere to be found. It was Clarke standing guard and he did a poor job.

The committee should ask Clarke about TWA 800. They should ask why the FBI investigation of mosques in Virginia was stalled by the whitehouse for PC reasons. Questions about money trails leading from Virginia to the middle east for terror needs to be addressed. The committee investigation of 9/11 seems to have gotten off track and become mired in politics. It is probably beyond hope. Nobody is asking Clarke the tough questions.

Hmm, I know he seems to be having fun as a reporter, but since he's apparently in the thick of a bunch of this stuff, and has high name ID, does anybody think we can run him for anything useful? That would be kinda neat. Where's he from?

>>>but this guy can't be trusted and has a "weasel factor"

Yes, conveniently he never mentions he was an investor and business partner in the factory we bombed.

Also, his purpose in kissing up to the Sudanese was to help his investments there, coincidentally enough, at the same time as BinLadin was in Sudan.

At least someone's a skeptic about this guy.

And if he was so well connected in Pakistan, how come he professes ignorance about the Nuke Network Pakistan ran. He says he only found out about it in 2000.

Most freelancers in this area usually keep their mouths shut. Seeing how much he blabs, perhaps people were right to be skeptical about his claims.

He pulled the same thing in Kashmir; claiming credit for some silly ceasefire that barely lasted until the point he left India.
