I have yet to see a viable arguement against being an isolationist country. Don't join any more clubs or sign any more treaties, just like George Washington warned us not to.

To be honest, I know Pat Buchanan is some type of fringe conservative who tries to get on TV all the time. I haven't felt the need to learn any more about him. I do, however, feel that the thinking of the original G.W. is something we could all use a refresher course on.
