Democrats are very confusing....First, they are complaining because President Bush did take action against the terrorists, now they are complaining President Bush did not take action against the terrorists before 9/11.

I do pray the majority of people who vote this November have the common sense to see thru the Democrat Bullsh.t.

I really don't understand why the administration has not discussed the first world trade center bombing and Ramzi Yousef at all.

After Miniter's book came out, Clarke most likely heard from someone within the clinton crime syndicate, and was "encouraged" to refresh his memory.

Clinton's administration passed up an opportunity to capture Osama bin Laden in 1996 According to a statement by Mansoor Ijaz (one of Clinton's 1996 campaign contributors), "President Omar Hassan Ahmed Bashir, who wanted terrorism sanctions against Sudan lifted, offered the arrest and extradition of Bin Laden and detailed intelligence data about the global networks constructed by Egypt's Islamic Jihad, Iran's Hezbollah and the Palestinian Hamas.

This is the one that ticks me off. If anything would have stoped 9/11, this was it.

I mentioned this before, but do you suppose his file was among the FBI files the Clintons took? Maybe they had something to use for "incentive."

CLARKE: I think the way he has responded to al Qaeda, both before 9/11 by doing nothing and by what he's done after 9/11 has made us less safe. Absolutely. (One sentance)

STAHL: Don't you think he handled himself and hit all the right notes after 9/11, showed strength, got us through it, you don't give him credit for that?

CLARKE: He gave a really good speech right after 9/11. (One sentance)

STAHL: You don't give him credit for anything. Nothing.

CLARKE: I think he's done a terrible job on the war against terrorism. (One sentance)

Unless you've been primed with talking points, which, to be effective, MUST be short and sweet most people woud be more loquacious, narurally. These are talking points, folks!

The Clinton administration's concerns about terrorism? All you need to know is Bill Clinton saw George Tenet (CIA) only twice.

Clinton mode was to keep the American people un-alarmed about about terrorist attacks on American embassies in Africa and the USS Cole, the Kobar Towers. We were not proactive on Al Qaeda because for the Clintonites it was "all about the economy, stupid!" AND GETTING RE-ELECTED

Cyncooper found an article from June 2001 showing Bush's adminstration was very actively arranging to fight terrorism

Preparing for The Next Pearl Harbor Attack (JUNE 2001, Bush team addressing terrorism threat)

"I really don't understand why the administration has not discussed the first world trade center bombing and Ramzi Yousef at all."

And I don't understand why the 9/11 hearings failed to go back to the '93 attack on the WTC.

I do pray the majority of people who vote this November have the common sense to see thru the Democrat Bullsh.t.

The majority will, sadly, vote for the cutest candidate, or the one with the most "pizazz!".

I couldn't get it to come up with your link, but here is one that works http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1105829/posts. Thanks very much for pointing out this post. It's a great find. I wonder how many others are out there. Of course they'll get no traction in the mainleftstream media.

Between Clarke and Clintoon, no wonder the terrorists were unabated for eight years. These guys make the Keystone Cops look like Scotland Yard. One liar conversing with another one. LMAO

"Even had President Bush launched such an attack on Afghanistan the day after he took office, however, it wouldn't have stopped 9/11... which had been in motion since 1998."

Heck, these same people would've blamed Bush for precipitating 9/11 had he invaded Afghanistan earlier.

Listening to people like Bob Kerrey and Clarke intimating that Bush should've preemptively invaded Afghanistan based on non-specific "chatter," while these same people atttack him for doing just that in Iraq based on 12 years of belligerence, is a joke.

Clarke insists that Bush's war in Iraq has taken attention away from the war on terrorism, yet it was Clarke, himself, who tied both OBL and Iraq to the supposed VX nerve gas being produced at Al-Shifa...as he talked Cohen and Clinton into bombing it in 1998.

If Iraq was a distraction from the WOT, what was Clinton's venture into Kosovo shortly after the bombing of our embassies that killed over 200 people and injured over 4,000? How did CLarke feel about Clinton's own preoccupation with Iraq, as he was the one who not only attacked them on numerous occasions, but he also helped author the Iraq Liberation Act. There are just too many inconsistencies with this liar.
