March 27, 2004 -- Speaking of John Kerry, Mr. Tongue- Tied-in-Knots went on MTV to explain, among other things, his position on gay marriage - which he apparently opposes - and civil unions, which he may well favor. You be the judge.

Kerry is for civil unions, which is not gay bashing, as opposed to gay marriages, which being against is also gay bashing. Kerry voted against the defense of marriage act, which gives states the right to refuse to recognize a gay marriage performed in another state, after which he said that it is the states that should have the right to determine whether gay marriage should be allowed or not, which he is personally against.
But he is also against an amendment to the US constitution to ban gay marriage because that shouldn't be in the constitution, but voting for the defense of marriage act is, which gives the power to the states where he said it should rest, is gay bashing.
Is this clear now? It should be, he's repeated it several times to make it REALLY clear.
I think need to go put on my John Kerry Flipflops now.
