Alhussaini was last reported in Massachusetts, working at Logan Airport outside Boston.

APRIL 19, 1993 - Federal agents attack Branch Davidians with military vehicles and gunfire. Fire breaks out and 74 die. Most of them are INNOCENT men, women, children and infants. Not one Federal agent is charged with wrongdoing or reprimanded.

APRIL 19, 1995 - Timothy and friends REVENGE BOMB the Federal building in OK City for what happened to the Branch Davidians in 1993. 162 die in blast.

Should we be surprised?

Why would the FBI have kept evidence a secret? Why not follow all leads?

Now why would anyone believe that the Iraqis and al-Queda were behind this? Everyone knows how nice and sweet Uncle Saddam was and how he could have never worked with Osama since they were sooo antagonistic.

I think the real key that really starts to unravel this entire farce...is McVeigh driving this car of his...down the interstate...with no tag on it. When I heard this...I thought how many times in my entire life have I seen anyone on the interstate with no car tag? Never. And based on the fact that McVeigh wasn't a moran or complete dimwit...I find this entire story bogus. If McVeigh had done this all by himself, he would have parked his car downtown, a day or two before the episode...somehow walked (no one can show how he got to the truck rental place)...drove the rental truck to the target...got into his car...drove out of town (taking off the plates then) and proceeding down the interstate.

None of this jives. My guess is that is buddy or helper picked him up at the target site, transported him to this car (which the helper had already removed the plates without telling McVeigh) and McVeigh simply drove off figuring no one would have catch him. The helper is the mastermind of this entire deal...wanting to set McVeigh up and ensure he was the fallguy on the situation.

THis is scary, but does not add up. If President Bush has evidence that Iraqis were behind 9/11, he should put it out there. It would silence all reasonable doubts about the selection of Iraq as the primary WOT target.

Yep...as a former resident of Oklahoma City, when it was revealed in the aftermath of
9-11 that this guy from OKC had been working at Logan in Boston...I freaked out.

It may have been totally innocent...
but the odds of someone being in OKC at the time of the Murrah bombing
is working at Boston Logan in the time frame of 9-11...longer odds than getting
hit by lightning!
Well, at least that's my feeling, not being a statistician/demographer!

Perhaps of further interest...with an advisory that it's also from The LA Weekly.
But it's at least interesting to think that a humble kitchenette hotel at
Oklahoma City might have been of the preferred destination of Atta & Pals...
and McVeigh? (look for a passage about 2/3 down the page for the paragraph starting
with "One Reason For...")

Don't discount the article just because it's in the LA WEEKLY. Crogan does excellent background work. Also, one of his sources is Jayna Davis.

Good article. I've always believed there was a Middle Eastern conspiracy for two reasons:

The methodology was Terrorist all the way. There is no other instance in which a "right wing" American group has engaged in an attack on US resources. They're generally isolationists. Clinton was getting clobbered in the polls, and George Stephanopolous stated that Oklahoma City was what got Clinton's reelection campaign going. Add to that the cover up of TWA 800, and you have a few more innocent lives lost on Clinton's watch than the 35 that Clarke claims. Does anyone else find the timing of this state trial curious?

If FR's can convince Nichols that he can really cause a "big Hit" on Gov't if he reveals his Phillipine contacts, it would show the ineptness of the Clinton administration

I don't ever remember anyone being executed as quickly as McVeigh was after his trial. I remember reading that he *wanted* to be executed quickly. Does anyone remember him really saying this? Does the guilty party get what they want? McVeigh should still be alive so he could have testified in Nichols trial at least.

Was Nichols' latest wife ever thoroughly investigated? I still remember the scene of her laughing as he entered the court for his trial.

The Weekly also called Swanton. He confirmed that Davis supplied Specter’s office with “volumes and volumes of material” before the FBI briefing.

Magic Bullet Specter is part of the coverup, IMO.

My feeling is that Clinton knew that an active participation by Iraquis would demand action, and he did not want military action to distract from his focus on the economy, aside from the fact that I don't think he had the stomach, moral conviction, to fight a just war.

I think that's also the explanation for why clinton ordered his stooges in the FBI to cover up the real causes for bringing down TWA 800.

I'm persuaded by the evidence that it was a missile. There has always been some dispute as to whether the missile was fired by our own navy during live-fire excercises in that area, or by Muslim terrorists in a small boat. My own feeling is that it was terrorists. I don't think it would be possible to keep a secret like that this long if a naval ship were involved. Too many sailors would have heard about it. Even under threat the secret would have gotten out. More likely clinton just found it politically inconvenient to deal with a terrorist murder at that particular point, so he gave orders to hide the truth under the rug.

In the case of OKC, admitting that terrorists were involved would have reflected badly on clinton. Instead, he blamed the bombing on Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh, and mysterious "right-wing militias." By doing so he turned his whole election campaign around and shut the mouths of his most dangerous critics. Evidence suggests that he knew about the bombing beforehand--although it may have gone further than was planned--and he was all set to go with his big speech when it happened.

A criminal could rape and murder a bunch of children, and the liberals would still fight against his execution. The lawyers would step in at taxpayer expense, and if he were executed it would take at least 10 years to go through the appeals.

McVeigh was executed quickly because the one criminal liberals long to execute is a designated right-wing fanatic or an abortion bomber. So the liberals cried out for his blood. And the lawyers refused to intervene, partly because McVeigh refused them and partly because the liberals did not, as they usually would do, provide him with lawyers whether he wanted them or not.

And not much doubt that he was a dangerous witness that clinton and Reno were delighted to dispose of.

Fair comment...I didn't mean to sound that critical.
And I miss the defunct "NewTimes LA"; it had just about the best investigative
reporting on the ugly underbelly of Los Angeles city government and the school (?) system.

I've read some Crogan articles about the OKC/Murrah situation...and as a
former OKC resident haven't found anything disputable (that I've heard/seen personally).

Also, one of his sources is Jayna Davis.

Yes. If she'd really made any sort of slip-up, she'd either be in jail or
sued into poverty by now.
I remember her reports in the chaos after Murrah...I didn't see anything
irresponsible in her reportage.
