Republicans detested Zell when he was our governor, basically because he was unbeatable and so stinking popular.

We were angry with him more when Roy Barnes placed him in the US Senate after Paul Coverdell's untimely death.

We were even more angry when he cast the ballot for Tom Daschle as Senate Majority Leader.

All of that has been over-looked by this Georgia voter.

So he "wised up!" Better late than never! When a hard core Democrat like Miller (and Koch) can see the light (once they take off the liberal blinders, then there is hope for the rest.

Miller has certainly reinvented himself since the days when he carried water for the Clintons.
