Information Leads to Capture Near Tuz

TIKRIT, IRAQ - Task Force Danger soldiers from 1st Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment detained two suspected arms traffickers in a raid near Tuz at 3:30 a.m. March 25. The soldiers detained the suspects after an Iraqi citizen identified them. The two are suspected of transporting large quantities of weapons between Nasiriyah, Baghdad, Kirkuk and Hawija. The two were taken to a Coalition detention center.

Information Leads 1-18 Infantry to Cache

TIKRIT, Iraq – Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment located a weapons cache south of Bayji March 24 at approximately 10 a.m.

Information from several Iraqi citizens helped the soldiers find the cache, which included 191 68mm air-to-surface helicopter missiles, 15 rockets and 35 fuses. The weapons were transported to a Coalition facility for destruction.
