Alan Foley is likely one of Newsday's "intelligence officials".

The self-important Richard Clarke is almost certainly one of Novak's sources.

Another "Bingo!" for you...

Note that this assessment also ties Clarke into the Wilson-Plame imbroglio. In the end, Novak's leaker actually assisted Wilson and the left in elevating the affair from a curiosity into a "scandal".

Did Novak's leaker do this by accident? Or was it intentional?

In other words, just how long has Clarke been on Wilson's "team"? And how was he recruited?

Looks like Mr. Clarke won't be out of view and/or power for very long!!!!

S'okay, Howlin. If ABC wants to hire this cheap, lying weasel, it's no skin off my nose: I never watch ABC anyway. This just gives me one more really good reason to stay away....

ROGER W. CRESSEY - President

Previously, Mr. Cressey served as Chief of Staff to the President's Critical
Infrastructure Protection Board at the White House from November 2001 to
September 2002. From November 1999 to November 2001, Mr. Cressey served
as Director for Transnational Threats on the National Security Council staff, where
he was responsible for coordination and implementation of US counterterrorism
policy. During this period, he managed the U.S. Government's response to the
Millennium terror alert, the USS COLE attack, and the September 11th attacks.

http://www.goodharbor.net/sides/aboutus-cressey.html

The President of Clarke's company "Good Harbor Consulting, LLC" "managed the U,S. Government's response to...the USS COLE attack, and the September 11th attack..."

Maybe Clarke's own associate should be asked whether HE, personally, did well, or screwed up.

It's a good thing I didn't have time to call my local rag (The Courant) today... there's no telling what I would've yelled at them!

My local paper today editorialized against the "politicizing of the 9-11 commission" .. by the Republicans against poor widdew Dicky Clarke, naturally. I'm so mad I could spit nails.

I've been thinking about it, and if Clarke's sexuality was an issue in his getting a security clearance (as it should have been) -- if this becomes a public issue, in today's P.C. environment, with the left casting gay weddings as a "civil rights issue," will the media and Dems try to use this *against* the White House?

After what I've seen over the last couple days, especially from the "mainstream media," I'd believe anything at this point.

Here is my ORIGINAL POST:

I don't do this very often, so forgive me. I was watching the ABC program tonight on Donald Rumsfeld at 8 P.M. EST. Right in the middle of the show, here appears Richard Clarke, and down in the corner is the little ABC logo with the words ABC (SOMETHING) CONSULTANT. (Not sure what TYPE of consultant, but definitely CONSULTANT.

You said:

You made up the headline, as well as the whole story that ABC had just hired him (presumably based on his recent accusations). You posted no link or other documentation.

Ah, kindly point out your proof that I made this up and where I said ABC just hired him.

This has been at or near the top of the Breaking News sidebar for a while now. It's an embarrassment to FR.

I did not put this is breaking news; and judging from the comments on this thread, NOBODY else knew it either.

Take your crap somewhere else.

And don't ever call me a liar again.

Howlin's point was that ABC had hired him now as a result of his recent accusations. This is not true.

Exactly where did I say that?

And it certainly isn't Breaking News now that he was hired in August or earlier.

And as I said, I didn't put it in Breaking News.......and it's damn news to a lot of people on this site.

Talking about JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS.

She posted it in Breaking News, implying again that the hiring had just happened.

That's a damn LIE.

This is from today: ""Mr. Clarke has already given 14 hours of testimony to the commission investigating why the government failed to prevent those attacks," said Mr. Stephanopoulos, also noting that Mr. Clarke now works for ABC as a consultant."

I suppose you don't think the word "NOW" in a piece posted on the internet means anything, HUH?

As I said above, don't ever accuse me of starting a rumor or posting a false thread; it's pretty clear that either you're too dense to understand the orignial purpose of my thread, or you're doing it intentionally.

"Justice WILL be served"

Funny. No one is wondering what will happen when POTUS wins reelection. I mean, think about it. There are going to be alot of scores to settle and I will not be suprised to see new the administration go after the networks first.

Then they will go after Hollywood with new decency laws. Then they will go after foreign investers portfolios. Then they will go after voting rolls. Not to mention all the RATS that jumped onto the Socialists bandwagon. I can see heavy RAT districts having funding cut.

We will balance the budget on the backs of the Socialists and then there will be heavy conservative movement into the inner cities with heavy criticism about those RAT leaders.

People, it is no longer business as usual.

IMHO, Bush should fire the first salvo now to the network chairmen, telling them exactly what he is going to do.

Agreed. A simple Google search would have revealed the fact that Clarke had been hired by ABC News some time ago. It took me all of 11 seconds to find out.

There's enough ammo out there to expose Clarke and ABC News for the partisan frauds that they are. False, unnecessary accusations only diminish our case and strengthen the enemy's.

Ah, kindly point out your proof that I made this up and where I said ABC just hired him.

In Post #5, you said "ONE DAMN DAY". The logical assumption is that you were referring to the amount of time it took ABC News to hire Clarke after his testimony.

The headline of the thread itself also implies that Clarke just took the position.

The guy's slime, but what you implied was innacurate.
