**Richard Clarke Takes Position as ABC News Consultant**
ABC News | March 25, 2004

Posted on 03/25/2004 8:47:38 PM PST by Howlin

I don't do this very often, so forgive me.

I was watching the ABC program tonight on Donald Rumsfeld at 8 P.M. EST.

Right in the middle of the show, here appears Richard Clarke, and down in the corner is the little ABC logo with the words ABC (SOMETHING) CONSULTANT. (Not sure what TYPE of consultant, but definitely CONSULTANT.

Maybe JFKerry used his experience of the l970's organizing "war protesters", to this modern day dance of "credible" insiders.

"Maybe just in time for Novak to come back and say with a straight face that it wasn't a white house source."

I do not expect anything out of Novak to clear up this "mystery". But his initial words did indicate that his source was not from the President/staff.

Very true. Of course, I thinkk even his initital words came about after Clarke's resignation, though I haven't added Clarke to the timelines yet.

The timing of that extension of the committee hearings is certainly curious - thanks for spotting and posting that- I believe it is important. I'd forgotten completely that the hearings were extended!

Fellow Freepers, pardon the ping, but I think I found the graphic that proves
Clarke is a natural of the consultancy bidness:

http://www.despair.com/consulting.html

Of course, the real consultancy angle is that Clarke is on-board to feed ABCNews
all the trash (mostly the product of Clarke's imaginings) on Dubya, Condi, Rummy, etc.
Hey, why drain the Kerry Campaign Treasury when you can get paid by a news division
of the Disney empire?

After the way Microsoft got hammered by the EU, you would think that Gates would have had second thoughts about being a Democrat. I've never understood how he picked the wrong side, anyway.

Would be a great "investigative piece" if there were any great "investigative reporters" willing to take it on.

The question that keeps coming in my mind is what is next?

The biggest advantage to affect the political climate from Clarke and his book is for another "terrorist attack".

We have Woodward's book coming up and I suspect that "deep throat" #2 will somehow emerge.

Then according to "Bob Kerrey" the "liar" (bjclinton), one of the best, has his book coming out this summer, supposedly????

How low will they go?

I fear there is no lower limit.

"The timing of that extension of the committee hearings is certainly curious -...."

When the extension was first requested there was a "big" supposed media flap and I think they wanted 90 days or longer.

What made me remember it was the fact that Clarke's book got a fast pace move up to get printed.

It's his round about payback for what he did to Bush.
My question is, who is funneling the money through ABC to Clarke? I'm certain the shareholders wouldn't view this hire as condusive to growth in revenue, so this was something else entirely.

Was Clarke's book the reason why an extension of "time" was requested by this 911 Commission?

Yes and no.

The Commission wanted all of this to be occurring much closer to the election. They have had all of the testimony they needed for months.

Clinton's book has to stay in 'draft' form until all these other 'authors' get their stories out. Wouldn't be 'prudent' for contradictions to appear in bj's book.

Thanks.

This 911 liberal bunch are playing a dangerous game, under this supposed quest for answers.

I resent the world wide invitation that Clarke and his book, through this public trial, via this commission are sending to those KILLER TERRORIST, with the nothing has changed under President Bush.

This is true.

Especially if the goal is to rewrite his legacy with Clarke and that 911 Commission.
