[history]
March 25, 2004 -- EAGLE, Colo. - Kobe Bryant's young accuser - her hair dyed red and her figure clearly heavier than when the scandal broke - confidently took the witness stand yesterday, going face-to-face with the NBA superstar for the first time since accusing him of rape last summer. The 19-year-old underwent nearly four grueling hours of questioning from Bryant's defense team about her past sexual relationships - but never broke.

The New York Post link provides a picture of the accuser, albeit from the back. Note that the hotel bellhop also testified. The defense claims that the bellhop also has a sexual history with the accuser.

"The hoop star held his own inside the court, according to the Team Kobe insider, who said the NBA all-star look straight ahead during the morning hearing."

It strikes me odd that her having had frequent sex is damaging to her. Insert Kobe's name,
describre the frequency and various partners then put it in Men's Health magazine and he would be cheered. Interesting.

My instincts tell me the young lady is telling the truth. Shoot, how can anyone have any reasonable doubt....

Of course she's telling the truth but what a waste of time and money this is. Monica Lewinski was telling the truth also. Sad to say justice does NOT always prevail. Kobe will walk. Another O.J. rerun.

She left the court for a short break two hours later, then return for two more hours of grilling. Well, she is noticeably heavier.
