[history]
March 25, 2004 -- JERUSALEM - This teenage Palestinian homicide bomber - wearing an 18-pound explosive belt - was discovered in the nick of time as he tried to cross a West Bank checkpoint.
After his capture by Israeli troops, Hussam Abdo said he had been sent to blow up the troops and himself - and was promised that his family would be paid $20.

But his mother said she knew nothing about the plan and expressed outrage that terrorist leaders would take advantage of her son, saying, "This is shocking. To use a child like this is irresponsible, forbidden." I know it's wishfull thinking ... but could it be possible that some are starting to wake up to what Arafat is doing?

Notice how they don't want to be associated with al Quaeda or be taken seriously in threatening the US... They know that if they do, the party's over.
In truth, the party should have been over decades ago.

Rantisi distanced himself from the warnings - and also insisted Hamas has no connection to al Qaeda - Even other terrorist groups don't want to be openly associated with AQ. If Hamas were to be so naive as to attack the US, they would be relegated to a role similar to AQ's...caves and shadows. No more huge donations from all over the world. No more freedom of movement.

Ours is a religion of life. Every human soul is precious in the eyes of G-d. Such is the difference between Israel and its enemies. To quote from Jewish tradition, "he who saves one life, saves the entire world." The nations who condemn Israel out of ignorance or hate, do not know how much the blessings of this life are valued by Judaism. May it be to our merit every day to do good deeds before G-d, Our Creator and Father, Blessed Be His Name.

According to this month's Forbes magazine Arafat is worth 200 million dollars.
To be honest with you i found the story sad. 20 bucks for the life of a child homicide bomber and the lives he would have taken. 20 bucks. Several lives reduced to what it costs to eat a frill-free lunch.

To destroy a child is evil and I don't think its necessary to point out our feelings of revulsion when a child is used unwittingly to further the evil designs of others.

If I recall correctly, there was a similar event a week or two ago and the parents found out. I have doubts about the sincerity of the parents.

There are people on this world who have no regard for human life. We would do well to remember the reason Israel took out Sheik Yassin - he sanctioned exactly the kind of mindset that led to a boy being used as a pawn to kill Jews.

I too have doubts - but that doesn't lessen the horror of a child being used as instrument of death. The Palestinians may not care for their own children but we Jews will never stoop to their level.

President Bush froze the assets of the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development. A federal appeals court ruled last year that the Treasury Department had ample evidence linking Holy Land to terrorism. Once this nation's largest Muslim charity, funds the terrorist group Hamas.
Holy Land says it provides relief to refugees, orphans and victims of human and natural disasters, and that it has never donated money or provided services to Hamas, a group blamed for orchestrating suicide bombings in Israel. The State Department lists Hamas in its roster of foreign terrorist organizations.
The Bush administration also froze assets of two other Islamic charities suspected of funding terrorists, the Global Relief Foundation and the Benevolence International Foundation, for a total of between $5 million and $7 million.

From Boston to Burbank, Calif., federal authorities are intensifying their scrutiny of U.S. Muslim nonprofit organizations as sources of funding for al-Qaida and other terrorist organizations.
In a recent confidential letter to state charity officials, the U.S. Treasury Department sought financial records on eight American Muslim groups, including some of the largest Muslim charities in the United States.
Evidence appears to be emerging that shows links between al-Qaida and Hamas, the Palestinian militant group. The Bush administration on Friday added Hamas and 21 other terrorist groups to its broad financial dragnet. Charities tied to Hamas have been under investigation in the United States for years.

I am not sure it is wishful thinking.
This kid was obviously not the sharpest tack in the box. In fact, he seems pretty reluctant from the get-go.
If the Islime-o-nazis are being forced to recruit and utilize this level of participation, it may indicate that their supply of more competent help has reached pretty low levels.
The kid a couple of weeks ago was conned into making the play. He wasn't volunteering for a suicide mission.
The mother of two was basically entrapted into a compromised position where it was death one way or another.
Now this poor idiot...
Oh, I am sure they still have some fanatics who are intelligent and motivated enough to go all the way through with it, but it's not the inexhaustible supply they try to make it out to be.
