Unless the LORD builds the house,

Heavenly Father,

You are our very Foundation, our Rock, and our Redeemer. Without You we would fall into despair but You have given us hope, through the sacrifice of Your Son and our Savior, Jesus. During this Lenten season let us reflect and understand more than ever the depth of his suffering and sacrifice for us, sinners all. And let us respond to this incomprehensible Gift by dedicating ourselves anew to serving You. Let us be bold in proclaiming Your goodness and mercy; and let us be constant and joyful in our praise of You, the Lord God Almighty.

Father, a great President once said that a house divided against itself will fall. We see our nation being torn asunder by enmity, hatred, and deception and we know the source of these dark things. Lord, thwart the plans of those who would destroy us, both from without our borders and from within. Hear our prayers and heal our land. We especially ask that You speak to the hearts of the Supreme Court justices as they take on the issue of the Pledge of Allegiance that Your Name not be stricken from the Pledge.

Lord, our President is a godly man who loves You and seeks to serve You. He is currently under siege from the enemies of truth. We lift him up to You, O Lord, asking You to strengthen him and comfort him. Instill in him the peace that passes understanding and be his Anchor is this latest storm. Fill him with wisdom and patience and persistence. Make yourself known to Laura as never before so that she can be his refuge from the ugliness that is poured forth each day. Protect them both from all harm, spiritual and physical.

We continue in prayer for those who serve in our military. We are thankful for these men and women who give up so much to provide our nation's security and to fight for freedom for those who have been oppressed. Let them know of Your presence with them at every moment. Encourage their families and keep their eyes stayed on You that they may not lose heart. We ask these things in the name and for the sake of Jesus. Amen.

Heavenly Father, we kneel before you again tonight thanking you for your blessings and thanking you that we have a president who is so faithful to you. Heavenly Father, we are in one accord asking for blessings for his administration, his family, and our military men and women.

We pray, Heavenly Father, that when he lays his head to rest at night, that you will give him rest. He is under so much undue stress and we pray that he will overcome this,
