"If we had these great advanced civilizations, why didn't we find any of their cellphones or laptops?" he asks with a smile. Because losing cell-phones is becoming a national past-time. Nobody can find their cell phone except at funerals, car crashes, and VERY IMPORTANT meetings where there aren't supposed to be cell phones.

He prefers not to say where he lives in the Flint area -- the TV producers, he says, advised him that he didn't want a bunch of people coming to his house once the bars close to see if they, too, could move concrete slabs weighing several tons. Awww...it sure would break up the monotony of cow tipping!

Let's see... 2 million blocks in 20 years.
Working 12 hour days that means
2,000,000 / 20 / 365 / 12 = 22 blocks/ hour
1 every 3 minutes for 12 hour work days for 20 years.
And some of these are 70 tons.
Hmm... I'm not sure if the Michigan story is the whole story.

As fun as it was to read Chariots of the Gods when I was a kid, or listen to Art Bell today, I always knew that stuff about how advanced the ancients were was crapola. A little bit of logic, some trial and error, and a whole lot of manpower can accomplish a lot! The puzzlement of the accuracy of of the four sides of Egyptian pyramids, for example, was shown to be no big deal by the guys who built a small scale one in the desert. The solution was simple- lay out the sides by counting revolutions of a simple wheeled device. It doesn't even have to particularly round because the flaws are repeated exactly with each revolution!

Two words: "Johnson bar". A wheeled crowbar.

I wonder if this is the secret behind Coral Castle.

"Not to be confused with the similarly named sexual appliance."
Are you speaking about the new re-chargeable battery model or the old wind-up. (I believe the new ones even come in fluorescent colors and flavor enhancers)

The difference is old Ed also held the secret of cutting the huge blocks as well as moving them.

Coral Castle is right. I was wondering if someone would make the connection. I remember when some Freeper mentioned that the guy who made Coral Castle didn't have a block and tackle. There's a picture of Ed using a tripod with a block and tackle on the website.
Exposing the truth just isn't as much fun as believing in the impossible.

I bought a 10' x 12' tool shed and only one man showed up to deliver it. He drove the truck, unloaded the shed, and placed it. The man did it in a matter of minutes all by himself. All he asked was where I wanted it. I was amazed.
