...it represents a case of Alfred Hitchcock's "dog that doesn't bark" theory. That particular anecdote is properly attributed to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle...as memorialized by the "curious incident" of the dog that roused Sherlock Holmes' interest in the adventure titled "Silver Blaze."

I only mention it because I somewaht of a Sherlock Holmes fanatic.
