I love that CNN has this on the main page under the main story.

It was one thing when Rush was talking about this today...but when the liberal news network is on it--the jig is up.
Give it up Clark, it's over.
The only thing left to hear from you is were you lying then--or are you lying now?

An editor is taking the high road here, because he/she KNOWS this will not stay under wraps. Report it now, and they look like they got a scoop or near-scoop, and are above reproach.
With the advent of instant news via the Internet and blow-by-blow radio/tv, it's going to become increasingly difficult to spin issues before the public hears the verbatim truth.

CNN???
Maybe CNN is covering their behind on this one because Clarke has so many holes in his story that will be coming out in the next few days.
It would be interesting to see their motive on this one. Maybe FOX News getting their name in the 9/11 hearing was a badge of honor and CNN did not want to say they missed this story.

Well, well. Who was there from CNN? You know, the reporter that didn't bother to report this in the first place. :-)

Ex-Senator Bob Kerry darn well better come out and criticize CNN as he did Fox News. Otherwise, he is applying a double standard.

CNN also has for the main story:
Panel member challenges Clarke's credibility
9/11 commission member John Lehman challenged former counterterrorism chief Richard Clarke's credibility in hearings today, pointing out that Clarke's statements about the Bush administration in his new book differ from his testimony. Clarke responded that he hadn't been asked about the U.S. invasion of Iraq and that by invading Iraq, the president "has greatly undermined the war on terrorism."

Yeah, but he now says he was lying then and is telling the truth now.
THAT inspires a lot of trust, doesn't it?
Doesn't it?
Doesn't it?

CNN's reporting this because it can't be ignored and CNN is chipping away at FOX's popularity since FOX broke the story.

Uh oh. Whoever's running CNN now is a freakin' genius.
Part 1 Eye candy. Headline News is unbelievable
Part 2 Breaking news. That's the declared strategy.
Part 3 A more "balanced" approach. Throwing out the odd
GOP bone where none existed.
FOX better get rid of Cosby and Geraldo, quick. CNN wants to put on a serious face...if Larry King gets canned in favor of Laura Ingraham... I might have to start watching.
