Monday on TBN a group of elder white-haired prophets (awesome men of God) gathered to give edification and exhortation and information to the Body of Christ on what God is about this year for America.

One of the words given by Chuck Pierce (whom I adore in the Lord) was that this June-July will be a crucial time for this nation, and thus through the next nine months (taking us to November by my count). He urged us to be much in prayer for that time.

One of the words given was that the enemy (Satan) is going to bring forth a bit of truth surrounded by a haystack of lies, and loose it on this nation (I felt this was concerning an attempt by the enemy to throw the election to Kerry), and if we don't pray, the results are not going to be good. Further, by way of instruction in how to pray, one of the men said that if we don't pray that Osama bin Laden is found BEFORE the election, it could slip out of our hands (meaning, in my interpretaiton, to Kerry).

We've got our work cut out for us, pray-ers!

Hi, I just got on the computer. I ran several errands today plus I had to make several phone calls about Jan's death. She had a student loan so I called them and they must have kept me on hold for 30 minutes. I was really upset by the time I got off the phone with them. Then a relative called and she was still upset about Jan's death. Jan had been calling her often to see how her family, etc were doing. She was crying so that bothered me some. She lost a son back around 88 so she knows what I am feeling. I still have not figured out what happened over the weekend. Lynn felt the same way--said she had felt Jan's presence like never before.
I sure have appreciated all of the freepers prayers. Looks like we are going to need them for quite a while.
Lynn, Les and I are going to MS tomorrow to see my mother. Les is going to be driving part way. She needs practice on the open road before taking her test next month or in May. Her birthday is April 30--her 16th. Jan had been planning a big party for her but I do not know what we will be doing now. I sure am not in a party mood.

Prayers for you and your family MamaB. Do you think it is unusual to feel the presence of Jan? My Aunt and her sister have said the same thing of my cousin, Cheryl.....maybe it is that she's "with" you.....in ways that we just don't comprehend. Her sweetness sounds like she would want to comfort you. Have a good trip to MS.

No, I do not think it is unusual. I am on a support site and there are posts on that which talks about the same thing. When I told Lynn about hubby's aunt calling and crying, she wanted to know if maybe she has had the same sort of week. She said she really missed all the calls that Jan would make to check on everyone. She also said that during one of her last couple of hospital stays, Jan would call her and talk about the cemetery where her grave is and where my husband's grandparents graves are. She also said that Jan had talked at length about being so tired of being so sick all the time. I still think she felt like her time on earth was limited and that she was looking forward to being with God. I can understand why she did not want to talk about this with us. It is odd that so many of us have had strange feelings these past few days. Maybe, she is closer to us than we realize.

And .. did all of you see the thread today that says - Porter Goss - head of the House Intelligence Committee - is steaming mad - he's demanding an investigation of whether Clarke lied to Goss's committee, or if Clarke lied in his book.

Goss says - Clarke is in "serious trouble" if he lied to Goss.
