I have to say I don't get what his argument is. He says that Klinton took terrorism more seriously? What exactly did the Bush team not do? It sounds to me as if they continued w/ the Klinton strategy, while they were developing their own (over the 5 months before 9/11). Even if alQaeda would have been wiped out in Afghanistan on 1/21, 9/11 would have still happened. This is just a big rukus over nothing.

"And in January 2001, the incoming Bush administration was briefed on the existing strategy.
...

[T]he Bush administration decided .... in the spring to add to the existing Clinton strategy and to increase CIA resources, for example, for covert action, five-fold, to go after Al Qaeda."

BTTT!!! Great find!

Hahaha. So LaRouche considers him a traitor and you consider him a LaRouchie. For once I agree with LaRouche obviously he has nothing to do with LaRouche and apparently had little or nothing to do with the cult other than as a sometime journalist. Next you will be claiming Bill Gertz is a Moonie.

Mr. Chamberlain (aka "John Galt"),

The point is, I, and I think many Freepers, are growing weary of having to deal with you at all.

Though the record will show that I have kicked your tail in each and every confrontation we've had, I no longer wish to "battle" you. It not sporting for me to do so.

I simply want to call more attention to what an intellectual gnat you are and to your continuing efforts to suck the life out of this news group.

More deceit and misdirection from you. NO one has claimed a connection between Iraq and 9/11. That is a straw man you and the DNC have concocted to distract from the real connection. That connection was between Iraq and Al Queda NOT a specific incident. The connection is clear and well established and admitted yesterday by Cohen as one of the reasons Clinton bombed the chemical plant in the Sudan.

LIARS try and obscure this and claim some have said there was a connection between 9/11 and Iraq. There WAS a connection between Iraq and the FIRST WTC attack.

One benefit of the session was to return here to see the wise ones comment on the proceedings. Thank all of you.

I resented the cheerleading applause in the gallery however, as if Clarke the "rock star" brought his groupies with him.

No doubt another gimmick of the Democrats.

Clinton bombed the aspirin factory to keep Monica off the front page; you are not actually citing that as proof are you?

"You really should ignore JohnGalt, he is a DU'er."

That's good advice. Perhaps each time "Galt" starts a thread or invades one, we should start posting stuff like, "Say! Did you hear something?"

Among your many mental health problems, you obviously have a reading comprehension problem as well.

My previous post to you clearly stated this is not a war against only those who attacked us on 911. It is a war on terror.

Iraq clearly supported terrorists. You cannot debate the facts, I see. As usual.

That meeting was right before the RATmedia decided to take down Howard Dean, too.

Did you hear Bob Kerrey this morning at the 9-11 hearings?

I heard a peice of that. He also said that "It's lucky that the Clinton plan is classified because there is nothing there! Saves a lot of embarrassment!"

You really think the Bush Administration is staffed with amateurs?

As a matter of fact, no. Do you really think nativist paranoids like the staff at lewRockwell.com are serious contenders for credibility? Or, are you simply a little America crank in dire need of a reality dose?

Sorry I have an addendum to that appreciation of the members' discussions here:

One poster should be shunned and ignored for he isn't worth the time it takes to respond to his nonsense.

As for the membership I would trust the reactions written here than any summation by our "broadcasting community", no matter their esteemed presence in Washington and New York.

FReepers get it right!

Mention the great patriots and forward thinkers, Wolfowitz and Perl and he becomes even more hysterical and ludicrous than usual. Probably thinks RumsFELD is Jewish too.

They have ruined George Bush's reputation, along with his administration and his Mother and Father. And this will not end here.

I agree that this will not be the end of it, but I heartily disagree that GW Bush's reputation has been ruined! Anybody can see throught this.

This is an interesting link. Lou Dobbs interviews James Woolsey who talks about how the administration knows there are links between Iraq and AQ.

Since this is a war on terror, in general, not just a war against AQ, something that some people on this thread do not understand, I thought it may interest you.

Also, post #32 and #34 in the link have interesting articles.
