I'll probably take a whupin' for this one but...

So far, these committee members and the interviewees have only talked about Osama, Taliban, Pakistan, Afghanistan, cruise missiles, etc.

"Could we have gotten Osama?"

"Why didn't we get Osama?"

"Why didn't you get Osama?"

"NO! YOU!"

Is this the only aspect of 9/11 that this committee is prepared to deal with? The foreign intelligence aspect?

Forgive me for being naive, but doesn't the US Mainland security/intelligence aspect of 911 rate being discussed? For instance:

How did these 19 hijackers get these visas the way they did?

Why weren't intelligence reports on the hijackers' antics taken seriously or, at least, investigated?

Why were those who did report "unusual activities," by certain Muslims, inside our intelligence community harrassed afterward?

Why hasn't one, single bureacrat responsible for allowing these murderers into our country been disciplined or fired? Why have some of them been promoted?

Why weren't our borders closed or our military put on them even temporarily after the attacks?

I can think of many more. I don't ask this in a partisan way at all. I believe that government can fail in these areas regardless of party. I simply want to know why nobody is tackling this aspect of 911. Is it just that I'm impatient?

Maybe these guys will get to these sort of things, maybe not. Maybe I just don't understand these highbrow intelligence conversations. Anybody?...everybody...:-)

Good questions! Wonder if they will ask any of them?
